TMTT ~ Banana Peanut Butter Bread

Blessed with Grace
I'm on a Peanut Butter kick here yesterday I posted PB&J Stuffed French Toast and now this Banana Peanut Butter Bread. This was delicious I made a double batch one for us and one for the neighbor they were probably a little excited to have some besides the sweets I usually make :).
This was super yummy and very easy to make. Mine did come out a little dark only because I got to talking and didn't pull it out right away. Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs; beat well. Stir in peanut butter, bananas, flour and baking soda until blended. Fold in walnuts. Pour into prepared pan.
  3. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Remove to a wire rack to cool.

ALEXIS NOTES: I skipped the walnuts and doubled the recipe. I of course threw it all into the mixer and let it go. I'm all about the easy :)

  1. Sounds good! I tried something similar once, and we liked it, too. And, of course, bananas are another good source of potassium. LOL

  14. I have the best banana bread recipe, but I'll have to add the peanut butter to it sometime and see how it turns out! My kids LOVE peanut butter and banana sandwiches, so I'd imagine this would be a hit too!
