Weight Watcher in the Crock Pot

Between the women’s group, swim and when I can find time to go to the gym doesn’t leave much time for preparing meals like I would like to.  It’s funny even though I work from home I have LESS time to cook.  I love my crockpot to help out with these days.

First off I found Beef Stew recipe that was so yummy and filling!

Date Night & Mischief Boys

IMG_2355

They look so cute don’t they?  Well that is until you leave them with a babysitter all Heck breaks LOOSE!  So Rick and I went on a date night last night!  I was so excited to get to go see Courageous again.  This time I didn’t have to sit in the first row and was able to enjoy the movie.  Rick even actually even said “That was a good Movie”.  He even didn’t mind the religious parts which usually he is like my dad and would stand up and walk out of Smile. So yeah for me!

Now on to the babysitter, we had the girl we use every once in a while.  She is a sweet girl from my old church.  But I think I need to find super babysitter.  I was talking to my friend the other day about how we use to be when we babysat.  Our mom’s drilled into us that we were to play hard with the kids, clean up everything and even do dishes etc.  Now days the girls I’ve had rather sit on the couch. NOW nothing bad about them, but let’s go over what we came home to:

  • 9:45pm – Boys STILL up!
  • Guest room – Boys must have gotten in there because the room was a mess & Rick’s Legos' are missing.
  • Our Room - Rick’s watch collection was down and one missing.  MIND you this was on a shelf taller then Rick in our room.  Which means Cole climbed up on a bench in our room.  Then played in there for a while and made a HUGE mess!
  • Kitchen Counter – All of Rick’s things were out of the counter I have them in.
  • Our Room – Top Shelf again 2 PACKS of Gum gone … oh yes that means Cole had them in his room!
  • Gaming Baskets – All the wii games & ds games and a few other items all over the house.
  • Bathroom – counter top full of water
  • 2 hours 45 min out of house = Tummy ache from eating popcorn, Head Ache from boys bouncing off the walls & back ache from clean up even more when I get home! A little bit of a bruise on my head from banging it against the wall … UGH UGH

UGH … And people ask why I don’t go out that often?  Because when I come home I have more work then when I left.  Ok Super Nanny I need your cousin Super Babysitter … Would you mind please sending her my way?

Any one else have this problem?  Suggestions?

Courageous Movie Review

courageous

As man of you read I went to the movies with my woman’s group from church.  I have never seen Fireproof and many of you mentioned that the acting was bad.  So I went in to this movie knowing it was a lower budget and the acting would not be the best.  I must say it was NOT A list movie acting (Like Brad Pitt) but more like Lifetime movie acting.  If you go in expecting this then you can concentrate more on the movie then the acting.

I found a little more about the movie, it was made by Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.  They have made a few movies: Fireproof, Flywheel & Facing the Giants.  So when you see this movie know that it is made from a church that has also turned into a movie studio.  The movie WASN’T bad at all but you must go in knowing that it won’t be flawless.  The movie ran well and you can tell they have learned from the 3 previous movies and are getting to be very good at making movies.

We got to the movie early but part of group was 10 minutes late which lead to us getting the FRONT row of the theater, so my neck hurt & I had a hard time getting everything going on.  The movie had some great moments of ups and downs.  You would cry then laugh so hard your face hurt and go back to crying.  It was a touching movie about being a better father.  I as a mom thought it even applied to mom’s about being better!  Not just doing things good enough for your family, being the best you can be.  It is a religious movie but I think it is a great family movie for all to see.

Rick who is not a big go to church kind of person has AGREED to go with me tonight to go see if.  I’m so excited I think it will be a good movie for him to gather from plus it about police officers and he will love that!  I’m so excite the great turn out for this movie and I hope more theaters will bring great movies like this to us.

I like that the movie showed real people in real life that they screw up, that even the best Christian’s can make mistakes and we’re all not perfect.  I’m far from it and am trying each day with my kids, my family and my work.

This movie is a MUST see I would say not for young children but older and us adults who need a kind little push reminder about the things in life we need to make better!  Go in knowing the acting and you’ll be able to appreciate this movie!

Enjoy, I know this will be one that I buy (which for you who know me know I’m not a buy a movie, watch more then once for me.  I’ll buy for the boys but I don’t like to watch things more then once … unless it’s something that touches me).

The above is my true opinion.  I was not paid for this review, I paid for my tickets and even the popcorn with a drink!

Busy Weekend A Good movie & a Carnival

What a fun packed weekend!

Friday night was movie night with the woman’s group from church.  The movie was great, I’m going to do a post on it tomorrow!  All was great until I got home and got a phone call, about not paying the babysitter.  UGH Monday the babysitting is included in the group, when I left a message about paying I never heard back.  So I was bad and assumed it was covered.  Here I was thanking the girl offering to make her baked goods. No wonder she looked like I grew a third eye she was like lady give me money .. UGH.

Saturday after work I took the boys with our neighbor boy to the carnival at his Cole’s school.  We first had a bite to eat, ran around outside for a while and took some goofy pics!

Then on to face painting.  The little boys did crosses and Cole did a whale.

The boys enjoyed the fun games and we did all of them a few times over and over.

On to fun time of races of hula hooping, luau dancing & how long can you go.  Poor Caden fell asleep in his chair.  Oh yes the Tiki God is the Principal Smile.

Sunday after church I took the boys to a local park that was so amazing.  They had tons of things to climb on and take pictures in. The boys loved it they were having a walk-a-thon so Caden had a to do a little dancing to the music Smile.

So there was crazy packed weekend!  Super fun.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!  I’m starting to feel a bit better but my tummy is still revolting against me … ugh.  Thank you for all your prayers the Monday regular babysitter was back.  The boys did so MUCH better not a bunch of noise, the teacher was up playing with them.  I’m so glad I don’t have to hid under a rock again … Tomorrow I’ll explain what happened again with a babysitter .. lol.

Tuesday Dinner w/ Friends Chicken & Mini Apple Pies

Last Tuesday I whipped up this meal that was a huge hit!  First off I made Chicken Rollatini Stuffed with Zucchini and Mozzarella, now mine wasn’t as pretty as here’s but mine was still very tasty!  PLUS it’s always a good way to get veggies into the kids.  Mine aren’t usually picky but our neighbor’s boy did come over and at first he was I don’t like veggies but we had him try a bite and he said wow this is good!

Next on my list was some bite sized apple pies, it called for store bought pie crust so I made my own Baker’s Secret Pie Crust.  Sometimes I must say it may just be easier to buy it even though it is a heck of lot cheaper … lol.
