End of Year Gift ... Have a Fun Summer Teacher Gift

Now for the teacher gift!  As many of you know this has been a rough start of the year for Cole.  Last year he had such a hard time with his impulse control and having a teacher that didn't understand him or saw his heart.  This year we have gone through a battle but I think we have found the right stuff.  We have him on some great medication for his ADHD which allows him to think (no more my head hurts mom to many thoughts).  AND we have a TEACHER who is to the moon and back the best thing EVER!  She saw who he was and has helped push him to become GREAT.  This is the first year we have ended with such a positive end of year review.

I wanted to give her something special to say thank you.  I found a great idea on Pinned Sisters for a Teacher Summer gift.  I took it and made some changes and made my own. I couldn't find a printable so I made my own if you would like it here it is (click here), print on a 5x7 cardstock.

What you Need:
Tea Container
Beach Towel
Sunscreen
Drink (Crystal light or a Slush Adult Drink)
Life Saver Candy (Or Sunkist Candy)
Magazine
Ribbon
Cardstock

I rolled the towel and rapped it with ribbon to make it tight to fit in the container.  I stuffed it in with the sunscreen, drink (adult drink because she deserves it) and Candy.  My jug was a little short so the magazine didn't fit in, so I tied it to the outside with ribbon.  I printed my message on the card stock and attached with a ribbon.  Easy but so cute!!

End of Year Gift ... Have a "Chalk-ful" Summer of Crazy "Kool" Fun

Now for a gift for Caden's classmates.  I found a cute idea on Mud Pie Studio's for end of the year gifts for under $10.

What You Need:

Chalk (Can find at Dollar Tree)
Kool-Aid Packets (I bought a water flavor at Dollar Tree - Kool-Aid better to go with tag)
Bookmark (I couldn't find but Dollar Tree usually has)
Clear Bag (25 pack Dollar Tree)
Card Stock
Stapler

Put the chalk (2 pieces), kool-aid and bookmark into the clear bag.  I made up my own tag (click here for download, if it gives you grief let me know). Cut the tag out and staple to the bag to hold it shut.  Pass them out to the kids :).

2 Features in one week!!!

The Amazing Kathryn from The Dedicated House featured my Thanks a Latte Card.  I loved this card so much and I was tickled to hear Cole's teacher loved it just as much.  I smiled so hard when she said she posted on her FB page and got like 40 likes.  She is such a blessing to us and see's Cole's heart and works with him.  I'm excited she will be following the kids to the 5th grade too!!  (on a side note we're happy to say Caden will be having a new teacher next year)!

Diet Humor

My friend Robin over at Mass Hole Mommy posted this on FB.  I've been on this very strict diet going on 3 weeks and this is so true.  I'm a little on edge ... lol just joking but I'm sure I'm not as perky as I was when I was stuffing cheesecake in my face.

Happy Thursday!!

Pac Man Bento Lunch

Next on my bento lunch was Pac Man! Oh how I loved that video game when I was young and it's making a comeback and the boys actually watch a TV show for Pac Man.  I ran across the most amazing Bento Lunch site Lunch Box Awesome they have this lunch and TONS more!

What you Need:
Bread (I put mayo in the center)
Yellow Cheese
Lunch Meat
White & Blue Candy (For eyes .. I used frogs that had green tops with white bottoms)
Circle Cutter (Extra Small and Large)
Sharp Knife
Carrots

Cut your bread with a large circle cutter. I took a knife and cut out the mouth.  I couldn't find a extra small circle cutter so I made do with what I had in the kitchen to cut his eye.  For the Ghost I used a knife to cut out the shape.  For the eyes I used gummy frogs (since they have green on top and white on bottom).  I used one of my piping tips to cut out the circles :).  I cut some carrots for the round dots Pac Man Eats.  This way they can build the sandwich when they get to lunch.  Now she used seaweed to fill in the mouth and eye and for a background.  I knew the boys would freak if that was in their lunch so I used the bread as the back of Pac Man.

Enjoy!
