Her Mother's Hope Book Review

I love reviewing books for Tyndale House Publishers they always have the best themes with morals and just a great read!

Her Mother's Hope is set in the twentieth century. In this story you meet Marta Schneider, she comes from a strick family on her fathers side he makes no qualms that she will be nothing more than a servant. Her mother on the other hand encourages her to shoot for her dreams that the world is there for her. Leaving home to pursue her dreams she does just what her father says she will do by being a housekeeper and a cook. She doesn't let this hold her back she saves money and makes her own way to her dream of owning an inn.

Heartbreaking news from home makes her stronger and able to make the move from England to Canada. Once there she meets Niclas Waltert, he having the same goals and morals as Marta makes them a perfect fit. But as life goes she was not prepared for what she may lose of herself to be a wife and then motherhood. Their travels take them from Canada to California to raise her family, a far cry from her humble beginnings in England.

Marta so wants her children to be strong and have the best life possible, her way of parenting can sometimes come across cool and unloving. All along she wanted to be better but in ways took on her fathers sternness. Her oldest daughter Hildemara Rose has the hardest time with this she just wants her approval. Hildie falls in love during World War II and begins a family of her own. But as life works tragedy strikes and brings mother and daughter to get over their differences and hopefully bring them together instead of apart forever.

Buy a copy of your own and enjoy you'll be wanting to turn the page all the way to last 498 page. Hardcover is $24.99 on sale right now at Amazon $ 16.49 or on Kindle $9.99.

Thank you Tyndale House Publishers for another amazing book.

A Victoian Christmas Book Review

My second Christmas book that I love to share with you. This book had a great Christmas theme but really it's one that you would enjoy any time of year. It is four novellas about love and joy at Christmastime.

As you know I love books and to get 4 stories in one book is a dream, they were just the right length with a wonderful Christian theme that will warm your heart. I love review books from Tyndale House they are by Christian writers that always have a wonderful style plus a great moral story always with them. It's so hard to find a good book with a moral you agree with these days. Don't get me wrong I love books, but every once in a while you just like to have that heartwarming kind!

Along with great Stories guess what you'll find recipes! LOL everyone that knows me is shaking their head knowing why I really enjoy this book. It's a toss between the Biscochitos and the Brackenhurst Scones. I believe these scones will be showing up here very soon!

These stories are from a simpler time that will touch your heart with it's faith-filled collection of love stories that are beautiful and not on the TMI list. Catherine Palmer is a wonderful author with more then 50 novels that you must check out!

Thank you to Tyndale House Publishers I truly enjoyed this book for the wonderful stories and the writing style that had me staying up late to find out what happens next.

Master Leaders Book Review

Love a holiday weekend I can get some reading in! I was sent Master Leaders that is like sitting down with 30 of the worlds greatest leaders. We may not all be in a leader role but at different times in our life we may need to. some of my favorite chapters were vision and values, confrontation and conflict, team building and my worst enemy criticism and pressure!

Now we know you can't really get all 30 of these leaders in one room at one time, could you imagine the price of tickets for that meeting? George Bana and Bill Dallas did have the chance to sit down with these leaders just at different times. That in itself is a lifetime experience you'll never get. So you can live threw the book and the answers you find. You will enjoy every minute of these book. I love these authors, if you're looking for a good Christian book that shows morals and developing character traits that honor god, serve people and empower self this would be the one you need.

A book you should have on your night stand that you can open up when you need that boost or find yourself needing a little guidance. Put on your inner leader hat (you all know you have one) and kick back and learn to become a better you ;).

BUY IT: Master Leaders: Revealing conversations with 30 leadership greats: $24.99 Amazon has it on sale right now for $16.49.

BY: George Barna (Author, Editor), Bill Dallas (Contributor)

A Novel Idea Book Review

Ok I know this happens to me often. I need to write something I just know that people come by here and I have to have something up daily! Ok yes I totally know I'm blowing my own horn and use I'm crazy go nuts if I don't post daily. But as some of you may know it's hard to always come up with something new to post about. I mean I can't wish for food under the bed everyday to post about right? LOL ;)

People that writing a book, short stories etc have the same thing were you can't get those words that are swimming around in your head onto paper. So then what happens when you get it all wrote up, how do you promote it and yourself? Having a blog I know the hardships of going from 2 people reading you to have 250 readers and praying each day (yes I check daily) if I have a new follower. It takes time to go out and find new people you like to read that would hopefully like to read you also.

Do you ever get stumped on your writing, like what kid and their terrible habits will I feature today? Or hmmm is this a good idea to post or am I going to get some nasty grams at what a bad mom I am. No really I know sometimes how hard it is to post, worry about if people will like it and read it and how to grow your readers along with your social networking.

Well if you're anything like me, well not as crazy as me but still have these same questions do I have the book for you! A Novel Idea is just the book to read. Wrote by a group of best selling Christian writers. You enjoy all the that will help you brainstorm and make your craft the best it can be. This is a wonderful book that was a breath of fresh air and inspired me to be better.

Thank you to Tyndale House Publishers I truly enjoyed this book for all of is ideas and tips to help me become better. Enjoy I know you will!
