What have I been up to?

I think Rick may be right (just don't tell him I said so).  I took on a little too much the last few weeks.  Between Caden's party, then 4th of July and then me just over volunteering.  BUT I wouldn't change it for a minute!

What has been happening here:

Mickey Mouse Cake for Charity
Birthday Dreams

For the sister of the little brother I did Mickey Mouse cake I made
Barbie Cupcakes for Charity
Birthday Dreams

Deluxe Chocolate Marshmallow Bars
made for the workers at the Boys & Girls Club

We also served at the mission doing chalk art with the homeless kids

We bought the new flooring for the whole house!

We've been hit with a heat way of temps over 95
So we went to my parents house a few times to swim and cool off

And I hit the gym!
down 20 of the 40 I gained back!!
Keep the good prayers coming

And we did some swim lessons

And I'm a little exhausted now ... lol

If you're looking for great charities to support.
Please look into Birthday Dreams
Both of these two help so many and do it with so little money!

Hope you all have a GREAT Weekend.

We plan to have movie night Saturday with my bestie's family
Then NOTHING is planed!

Confessions of an Overeater

Photo: I'm FRUSTRATED

Why? Because they told me that I can't lose my weight. I know I can DO this. This solution really helps me and motivates me to do my best ► http://tips.pm/va1 ◄

Most of you who have been following me for sometime know that I have been on a long journey of making myself healthier.  Last year I was down 105 lbs.  In June I went back to a "healthy" eating lifestyle.  WELL in my mind I was doing well with a few little snacks here and there.  My old habits started to rear their ugly heads along with my mindset that if you don't see it or acknowledge it, it's not true!  YUP it's worked so well for me, hence the need to loose 100lbs before.

So I started to feel the clothing pinch and I had to go up a size in my jeans and my tops.  I kept saying oh I only gained 20 lbs when I talked to other (in my head I would say ok maybe 30).  Then I started to say oh I gained 30lbs and really thought that was the truth!  YUP then this weekend after trying on a pair of pants in the size I went up to and they wouldn't budge over my thighs and I almost went in tears to the party.  I talked with a friend there about the Omni supplements she had already lost 5lbs in her first week.

WELL I so know my body and know no matter what I do it has to be eating right with exercise.  NEVER have I been one to loose with out changing these two factors.

So I've now added on 3 days of Inanity and 3 days of ripped at the YMCA.  And I've gone back to my ideal protein diet, which is a tough diet but I plan to stick to it for 8 weeks!  I did pick up a few Omni supplements for my friend, that I'll be adding in next week.

So I finally stepped on scale on Monday and was shocked to see the amount gained was 40lbs!!  YUP it was a shocker but it was needed for me to get my head out of the clouds and actually see the #.

Wish me luck!  I want to be close to being down those 40lbs by my Bday in June.  So I share my ups and downs, it keeps me accountable plus hopefully help others that are going through this also.

Photo: Today I start my journey back to a healthier me! This past week I got my exercise right. 3 days of insanity and 3 days of ripped. Now to get my food right. I got off track let some bad habits take over me and gained back some weight. My promise to myself is by my bday I will be back or very close to were I was last year! 2 months is the challenge.

I think I'm Insane ... I love my Insanity Workout!

I'm on my journey to loosing the weight I put on going back to a normal healthy diet (instead of the awesome diet that helped me loose fast but wasn't giving me all the good things my body needed).  In that I have been going to the gym 6 days a week, I love the gym gives me time to read on the elliptical.  Which is a great way to burn like 600 calories in 60 minutes but it wasn't doing a lot for me to help tone and really loose weight.

So I added in the water aerobics more thinking that would help, but sadly it wasn't doing the trick.  Then I had the brilliant idea to try bootcamp.  That class kicked my butt, It sadly was too much running for me.  I have a torn ACL and running for 30 minutes really made me limp out and not being able to walk for a few days.

I waited a week then thought ok I'll give this a try again, my friends love this class.  So I hit up the YMCA and ask what room the class is in.  I go sit and wait for the class to start and to my surprise it was not bootcamp it was Insanity!  Oh lord what did I get myself into, but then I looked around and saw people of all ages and sizes.  Ok I'm not feeling so bad!  I did it, thought I may die a few times but it wasn't too hard and they showed modified moves that helped me with the jumping that can aggravate my knee or make my knee give out which is always fun in public.  It sucked at times but overall a good work out and was excited to go back on Wednesday.  So I think I found my new class to help me get back to where I wanted to know.  It's only Monday, Wednesday and Friday but I'll take it!

Proud Mama Moments

Two Sunday's a go Cole asked to come sit with me in church instead of going to the kids zone.  He has been wanting more and more to come sit with me.  Which is not too bad since he does sit and listen and doesn't talk too much to me.   Our pastor was having his sermon and when he was closing he said I will baptize anyone who wants to.  Cole looked at me and said mom I would like to go up.  I said ok honey if you want that would be awesome.  At first he was a little scared since I wouldn't be walking up with him but the he said Mom I'm going to do it!  He walked up to the front of the church (in front of 600 to 1000 people).  He was the youngest of our service.  And the claps and tears from all was amazing.  I'm so proud of him and his decision.

During my recovery for eye surgery, we had a few more proud mama moments.

Caden got his second award at school.  This time he got an award for Math.  I was so proud of him I did venture out for this appointment but man did my eyes hurt and I went right to bed afterwards.

Cole also had his first basketball game on Saturday and I was sadly in no shape to leave the house I sent the boys with my parents with my camera.  Sadly I looked at the pictures and all except this one was blurry :(.
I'm so proud of my boys and and the amazing people they are becoming!

Have a wonderful Weekend!!

Featured on Pin Me Party 69

I'm so excited my Avocado Hummus  was featured on my friend (also an amazing webpage designer, check mine out she did it) Diana Rambles Pin Me Party 69.  I loved this recipe so much and glad that other's loved it too.  It was so simple to make and I'm sure if I would have shared the kids and Rick would have liked it too ... teehehe.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Rick's bday is next Friday but the Kids Night Out at the YMCA is this weekend so it looks like date night for us.  I think we will go to the Spunky Monkey in Auburn, WA that was just on Restaurant Impossible last week.  I'm so excited to go see it I haven't been there since my party years (pre kids).

New Adventure in Water Aerobics ...

In my quest to see if I can get past my plateau on the scale I have tried different diets and now different types of exercise!  Now that Ricks is a full time employee at the hospital we have Insurance!! Whoo hoo!!! With insurance comes a discount at exercise clubs, including the YMCA!  I was so excited I signed us and the boys up.  Even with the discount it still is a good chunk of change a month so I'm going to take advantage of all the classes that are free (which really isn't free just part of your membership but it makes me feel better to say free).

So I signed the boys up for swim lessons, Caden for Soccer and me into a few classes.  I've taken the Ab class and also the water aerobics.  Let's just say it makes you work out like no tomorrow!  Of course you have the group that has been doing it forever and gives you the nasty looks for entering their class, the ones that talk and laugh the whole class and then the one nice person that took pity and helped me.

Let's just say it took a lot of courage for me to put a suit on and while doing the exercise all the loose skin from loosing the weight was moving in all different directions!  But it was a crazy hard work out and I can't wait to go back!

Now for a swimsuit funny!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
