Hormel Chili Review

hormel Chili is a favorite around here especially with Rick. He loves to open up a can if he works an event and comes home late, it's easy to pop open and put in the microwave for a quick dinner. Now you know me I love to spice things up I love to use it in meals like over hotdogs, pour the chili over the top and add cheese! This is one that goes over with the boys like HOTCAKES. Nothing like making a meal that makes the boys think I'm the best mom ever :). Another favorite is when Rick has his friends over for a football game. I open a can of hormel chili usually the one without beans (unless that is what I have on hand) cut up some velvetta cheese microwave and tada a dip!! This is one the favorites, yet again one that makes them think I went the extra mile but of course it was simple easy and loved :).

Now I'm not a big camper but my friends are and love the Hormel Chili and the different varieties help but the best part is the pop top! Yes they have made it easy to get into the can!! Even better they have meals, yes every college students dream! No more living off noodles in a bag you can have a quick and easy meal that is hot and yummy to boot! Yes Rick has even stocked up on these and actually loves them. I doubt it has nothing to do with they can hit up in 90 seconds you know his short attention span :).

Can you believe hormel/Dinty Moore has been around for 75 YEARS! They have gone threw some great changes over the years but have stayed the same wonderful product with more options to choose from. Don't you think Jiggs & Maggie from their 30's commercials "Bringing up Father" would be proud? I think so we're only getting better baby!

And of course I must leave you with a recipes, because hello it's my thing :). I thought this looks yummy!!!

    1. I was excited to see this. I actually have Hormel stock! I worked in a regional office in Oak Brook, IL for several years. We now are enjoying the vegetarian chili (for my daughter) and it is really good. We make a dip with cream cheese, chili and shredded cheese on top. Heat in oven or microwave. I use to make that for some of the sale guys to take to their sales calls!

    3. It would certainly be easier than making my own chili to serve on hot dogs. I've never tried Hormel chili; thanks for the review!

    5. My dad used to make that dip all the time! My husband works away from home for 3 weeks at the time. Hormel chili and grilled cheese are a stable at my house during those weeks:)

    6. We really like Hormel chili also. I love the one with the steak in it but because of Bill's liver disease, I mix that with the turkey chili so that it is better for him and it still tastes SO good.
I love to make it and put it over ditilani pasta or rice - it's a perfect and filling meal!
Thanks for a great review, but I don't think I could do chili for breakfast..... :-)
