WELL CRAP ... What did I do now?

So of course I LOVE to make myself crazy! I can't just take anything to Cole's school party I have to do something fun. Ok so the turkey's were so freaking easy why not snowman! Ok let's just say I was up until MIDNIGHT with these stupid things they would get soft fall apart I would put in the freezer then start again (yes that is a picture of my snowman in the freezer!).
I was so in the holiday spirit but then after a day of shopping for homemade gifts which I thought would be fun and cheap ... hehe my bill was OVER $100! CRAP then you add in all the stuff for the dog and yup it's a VERY tight time of year right now ... lol. Double crap, well I guess I can go shopping Christmas Morning when I get paid for the stocking stuffers ... hehe
So I'm stressed and freaking out so it's a recipe post today ... lol

Makes: 5

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 1 package (10 ounces) marshmallows (about 40)

  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal

  • 5 round red peppermint candies

  • 8 red jelly beans

  • 10 semisweet chocolate chips

  • 25 miniature semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 fruit roll-up, cut into 3/4-inch strips

  • 15 red-hot cinnamon candies

  • 10 pretzel sticks

  1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper and coat with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Melt the butter in a soup pot over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from the heat and add the cereal; stir until completely coated.

  3. Using a 3/4-cup measure of the mixture for each, form five balls and place on the baking sheet. Using a 1/3-cup measure for each, form five more balls. Place the smaller balls on top of the larger ones, forming snowmen. Decorate with the candies, chips, and pretzels as shown.

  4. Serve, or cover loosely with plastic wrap until ready to serve.

TIP: Coat your hands with nonstick cooking spray to keep the marshmallow mixture from sticking to them when forming the cereal balls.

  1. Ok breathe hunny! The snowman are adorable, I can see why they would frustrate you though if they kept falling apart.

  2. They are really cute. I agree with Nichol, breathe! I think that those of us who like to go above and beyond always end up having some little issues in the kitchen.
Now if you were making those just for your boys you wouldn't have had any problems.

You are such a great mom. My kids think that I make the best Krispie Treats in the entire world, but I have never made any that look like that.
