House of Cards ... Falling Down ... Falling Down

Gee now I have stupid London Bridges stuck in my head. Better then Mr. Ed that I had stuck in my head earlier when I told a co-worker I would call a Ed and my warped mind skipped to the Mr. Ed song. Oh boy where was I going with all of this? Not sure I guess I better start back at the start.

Let me back up to yesterday where the house of cards to yet another hit. Well no I take that back I had this wonderful house of cards called my life, you know a delicate balancing act. A while back I added a wing on to that house of cards when we took on an exchange student (or I should I say I took on the responsibility?). So for months my mansion of a house of cards has been standing it swayed here and there but it stood up pretty darn good. Then we started having problems with the exchange student so a little part of the house fell. Then as more time and problems have arisen more of the house has fallen. My beautiful mansion is now a single wide mobile hanging onto it's wheels since it may be the only thing standing here in a few weeks :). Oh yeah going back to the white trash roots, maybe getting my roots touched up next week will be a bad idea I'm not going to fit in ... LOL. Just playing nothing wrong with mobile homes just been one of those weeks and need a laugh and all I could see is a certain relative that has huge roots and wears way too tight clothing. Not going there!

Back to the point yesterday was so slow until about 1:30 when I was handed a project that needed some serious help. Around 3pm I was suppose to leave for the airport to drop off one of our employees. Well a bit after 3pm we're running to the car to make it to the airport. Traffic was looking oh so pretty and I'm was feeling oh so great that a long drive in traffic was exactly what I was hoping for. Turns out traffic was the least of my problems, since at that point I get a call from Rick that Cole is throwing up at school and needs to be picked up, crap! Can you pick him up, of course not he's on his way to Electronic Fry's for work. So this is when the phone tree starts. I call Mom who's car broke down today, but Dad was dropping her off so he could head up to the school. Then I call the school to let them know Dad is on his way for Cole. Then call back to Dad to give him the number of the school so he can put it into his GPS thing. Then call Rick to let him know Dad will pick up Cole. Then I call the person that took Roy for the day to let her know I wouldn't be home since now I need to pick Cole up at my parents house. Is your head spinning yet, because mine sure was and I so wanted to throw the cell out the window before it over heated.

Well going to the airport was smooth getting back was something totally different thankfully this time it wasn't raining. Just when I think everything is smooth the phone rings again, crap it's Cole School again. Cole puked again (#5) and where is Bapa. Call Bapa he's .2 miles away according to his GPS (what did we do before those, oh I know get lost!). Call back the school and let her know. For good measures try Roy's person again since I left a message the last time, guess what her phone's not excepting calls at this time. Call Rick he hasn't heard from the gal. Then my phone rings again this time Tarra, I totally forgot I was picking Khari up too today. Make plans to meet her to give her Khari. Really can I throw the phone out the window? Grab the kids at Grandma's House, 2 more calls from Tarra. One if she can go in the house (crazy girl go inside) and two are we meeting at your house (nice way to ask where the heck are you girl). Finally get there run into the house to grab the stuff for the diaper cake I need to make and then back out to the car. Crap I need to call the cleaning gal to tell her not to come but I don't have her number. Yup you guessed she calls next from my driveway (ugh), I save the number and apologize for being a lousy boss.

Well one good thing about running around I miss the traffic heading up to Bonney Lake. I get there with enough time to throw together a diaper cake, while holding Caden all at the same time. Sorry no picture of the cake I couldn't even think straight by the time I got home. Barely got Caden in his bed and let Cole run around like crazy with Rick and his friend. Off to bed I went I had to work at 5am this morning. Now there is another story for you, I think I'm going to rest before I write that story. I don't want to make you too envious of my life all in one shot.

I'm taking my single wide and rolling away (see having wheels is a good thing).

Can you say Murphy's Law?

Well that would be my life, yup had grand plans to get up early go into work and get all my printing done since last night was a disaster! Well getting up and ready wasn't the problem, it was getting two boys up that had shots the day before that had horrible nights. Caden spent most of the night with us tossing and turning and my favorite part kicking Rick in the head (because sleeping with your head at the top is so yesterday). Cole woke up puking and a fever, I gave both of them Tylenol and waited out the night. So I get to work around 7:30am a 1/2 hour later then I was planning ... ugh. Of course people are pacing from seeing the report spread everywhere and in like 4 pieces since I was having to make copies on a fax machine the night before! So I got to work and finished up the report to calm everyone down.

Started to heat up my lunch walked away and lost my spot in line, thanks to Jill it got put back into the the rotation. I started to sit down and found another proposal hit my desk, no worries that is 3 I've gotten so far this week. I guess I should take that as a compliment, that I'm doing good ... or is it punishment? At this point I'm not sure what is a worse fate. Stand up grab my lunch and start working on the bills once more. Before I can even take a bite of my lunch I get a call from Cole's school. When our receptionist announced it was then my heart sunk to the bottom of my stomach, Jill our receptionist even had the tone in her voice worried for me. Thankfully it wasn't poop this time, but it was a fever of 101 ugh. No worries I'll finish up and come pick him up. Of course I show up right at the beginning of nap time and wake up a few kids when I open the door. Sorry!

Cole and I head home to relax not for long since I'm on airport duty today and have to be back at the office in 1 1/2 hours! Cole gets a little down time before it's back in the car we go. We get to the office and Dan is running a little behind so we hang out in the car for him. He gets in and the minute his butt touches the sit Cole's Tylenol kicks in because he's talking nonstop like someone put a quarter in him. Dan turns to me and says at least you'll stay awake when you drive with him talking. I nod and smile :). At this point the sky opens up and dumps on us, getting there wasn't bad it's getting home that is the hard part. So of course today is the day for Roy's teacher conference, no prob it's 3:45pm and the apt is at 5pm. Well that is before the gas light comes on mind you while we aren't even moving just sitting there. Finally we inch to an exit and I see a sign for gas, yes plus I need to pee before my seat is not just wet from the rain mind you streaming down the door now! Oh joy we get back on the freeway and inch forward while I'm trying to see how I can put myself closer to the center console and still shift the stick. An art I haven't learned, I felt like I was 19 again driving my little Geo.

I make it to Tacoma 5 minutes before 5pm, I try 411 to get the number to call the school. No luck, try Rick to find the number. He finds it and try calling the school no answer, I try her cell phone no answer. Crap and double crap! I arrive at the school 20 minutes late and the doors are locked. I find she's in another building, mind you I've been running around outside and my hair is not stuck to my face with all the hairspray. I'm not looking pretty at this moment. I see the principal who ask me to push a cart for her (mind you in the rain) and she just takes off like her pants are on fire, never looking back at me. Ok no worries I'll just push this cart for you, never once did she turn around. I guess I'll just leave it here since now I'm even later getting to my appointment. Conference went nice I really like his teacher and she is so on the same page as me and so helpful and nice. She's great and I can't wait to keep in touch with her. Homeward bound we go with only one stop to pick up fries for dinner.

Just get me home before I pee my pants oh crap I really have to pee yet again! Make it home just in time! Yup my day was wonderful I can't wait for tomorrow!

I feel off the wagon ...

That being the no fast food wagon, come on guys I haven't drank that much since College. Ok I guess I should start with my day yesterday so you'll understand the falling off the wagon.

Today starts with a project that is due in 2 weeks but we're wanting out by the end of this week, yup no problem I can do that! Crap everyone stop coming into my office and needing me to do things for you. I've been told to be rude and tell you to leave, and you all know how good I am at saying NO just look at me taking on a 3rd kid. NO problem, just smile and work it out right? Thanks Tim Gunn your stupid saying has become part of my daily life! So here I am putting together my proposal and oh crap I have to take some to the airport. Sure no problem I can't find anyone to do it, so that leaves me. Ok so I'll find a company car to take him in, yup I had 2 options and guess what. You got it one just got snatched up and the other one belongs to a person that doesn't really fly with the company car for anyone to borrow! So it's my car, we get into the my car only after I wipe his seat from whatever crumbs one of the boys left there! And sure just put your suitcases on the car-seats in the back not a problem. Then we take off and of course my gas light is on, which earlier this morning I wasn't worried about since it's payday and I can deposit the money and then go fill the take. So here I am no gas and unsure the debit card will work, crap! I go to Costco Gas and of course my passenger wants to help pump, so he got a GREAT view of "Card declined". Can I tell you how embarrassing it is to have someone see that! So we have to hope back in my car, with a brave smile I say ok let's try another place that takes cash. Thank GOD I sold 2 Halloween Costumes and have $30 in cash! Then I see a Shell station and remember that Tarra gave me a $10 card, yippee that will give me 2.54 gallons just enough to make it there and back! So we fill up and I try to sit in the car with as much dignity I could, please just put the $10 in. I so wanted to go home and hide under the covers!

I get back into town and was going to pick up sandwiches at Nordstrom's Cafe since that is what me and the girls always go on payday. To my surprise the Tacoma one is closed until the Nordstroms is open. Taco Bell anyone? So I pick Cole up and drop him off at Grandma Pat's. Then I swing thru Taco Bell, well at least it was off the Fresco Style (which is lower fat). So that was my day at work in a nutshell, just add in a few dirty looks and shooing people out of my office.

On the way home I remember that I called in my RX to Target on Monday, hey it's only Wednesday and I might want to take my Thyroid Meds here soon! So I give Tarra a call to let her know we'll be home shortly. Only to find out that her mom is sitting down the block from my house and she's on her way home. So I go home and have to WAIT ... LOL I'm just joking Tarra made a crack that since she made me wait that I would put her in my blog, and I told her I would just to make her famous! So look Tarra your famous!

Here is something funny, how many kids can you pack into one car? 3 in back and 1 in front and oh yeah me too! Don't they look comfy?

So a quick run to Target where of course Cole has to have a Hot Dog, Roy has a popcorn which I tell him he has to share (not too happy there). And since it's so late why not do a double whammy and stop at Wendy's for dinner. That is one good thing that has come out of having Roy stay with us, no more quick dinners. I actually make real meals and sit with the boys and eat just like my mom and dad would do. Rick gets his plate warmed up when he comes home, it's actually a nice settings. But today as you can see I feel of the Wagon and not only did I have fast once but twice! At least Taco Bell was lower fat, I tried to order Wendy's the same with no cheese and chili instead of fries. But of course the boys didn't eat all the fries so it was ok to eat a few right? And then the burger had cheese, so instead of peeling it off I ate that too! Oh geez I won't even mention that Rick brought home pizza from his class, I'll just leave it at that note!
