Themed Birthday Gift ... Spring has Sprung

This weekend Cole had been invited to TWO parties of course at the same time and day!  So I had to split our time between the two parties.  Personally I would have loved to stay all day at the second party (of course for a Girl so Cole gave me the face that he had to go). The mom and her best friend were so much fun, I wish I could have stayed longer to maybe make friends .. LOL I'm so needing a Girl Friend.

I texted to RSVP for the event (because you know that is my crazy pet peeve that people don't do that) and asked what theme.  She let me know Spring / Hello Kitty.  So this girl went on a theme hunt!  You know me by now and my love for a theme!  This actually I must say is one of my favorite gifts I've made in a long time.

What you need:
Bucket (I found a pink one with flowers and Butterflies)
Spring Sign
Bubbles
Chalk
Flip Flops
Note Cards
Pinwheel
Flower Toy
Candy
Homemade Cookies
Stickers / Coloring Book
Large Clear Gift Bag
Ribbon
Card Stock (if you want to add tag)

Arrange all items in the bucket.  I put it in clear bag and tied it with a nice ribbon that reminded me of spring.  I found this cute FREE Printable for a Spring Bucket List on Love Bakes Good Cakes that I added to the ribbon before I tied it up.   You can really do anything you want with the bucket.  I just found all things that reminded me of spring, then a few Hello Kitty items I found.  Most items can be found at Dollar Store or Michael's Dollar Bin.

NOW of course I couldn't just leave it as is!  I had to bake some cookies (recipe and pictures to come soon) but if you're looking for a yummy recipe I made Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Do you Theme Gift?

Themed Gift Idea ... Dragons Oh my (Once Upon A Time Gift Bag)

Yesterday I showed the gift for Stacy @ Stacy Uncorked and her family, today I show the gift I did for her daughter Princess Nagger.  Stacy let me know PN loves Dragon's, so I thought why not make a fun Dragon / Fairy Tale gift.  I couldn't find all things dragon so I ran with a Fairy Tale as the Dragon as my focal point.

I hit up Michael's Craft store for a few items and then Target to complete my items.

What I used:
Canvas Bag
Iron On Letters
Wood Castle (I found a pre-painted one at Michael's)
Stuffed Dragon
Foam Castle Craft
Zany Tales (Like a Mad Lib but Fairy Tale Version)
Princess Bracelet (Since they call her Princess Nagger)
Hot Tamales (Wrapped up saying Dragon's Breath)
- Hot Glue Gun & Sticks
- Hot Iron

I first started out with a canvas bag, I then took these fun iron letters that reminded me of the font on fairy tale books.  I first put them on the bag and figured how I wanted them on the bag.  I then took my hot iron and set the letters on how it like them.  I took my trusty hot glue gun and glued the castle down in the middle.  I wanted to keep with the dragon theme.  So I took some Hot Tamales and went to my computer took a flame and added the Words Dragon's Breath.  I wrapped this around the box and done!  I took Pink Tissue paper to match the bag and put it all in.

Girls Just Want to have FUN ... Youth & Tween Girl Birthday Gift

As most of you have figured out by now I'm a HUGE fan of giving a gift in a basket.  One of my besties daughters were having a birthday party together (she does this every year).  I must say I have been known to give them a combined gift.  I just couldn't do that this time since they are getting older.  So I thought why not cool gift's in a basket.

For the Tween Gift I found some of what I thought to be the best and favorite things.

What you need:
DVD - I picked up Tooth Fairy
Candy Bars / Candy
Lip Gloss
Glow Sticks
Stickers
Pedicure Set
Hair Bands
Gum
(other ideas, Teen Mag, Make up)
Basket
Wood Letters
Wood Character (something they like)

I put a little tissue paper in the basket and then filled it with all the fun items.  She is really into Soccer so I found a soccer ball at Micheal;s and letters to spell her name.  I used my favorite item the Glue Gun and hot glued it all on!  It was a simple but super fun gift!!

For the Youth Gift I wanted to switch it up a little so her basket had a few different items

What you Need:
Bubbles
Glow Sticks
Movie (Open Season)
Candy
Chap stick
Stickers
Nail polish
Hair bands
Baton
Basket
Wood Letters
Wood Flower (or what they like)

I put a little tissue paper in the basket and then filled it with all the fun items.  Caden found a pretty flower he wanted to use for her  at Micheal's and letters to spell her name.  I used my favorite item the Glue Gun and hot glued it all on!  It was a simple but super fun gift!!

This was another simple one but a huge hit!  Hope you all have a great day and give this a try!
