Tempt My Tummy Tuesday - Bavarian Pot Roast

Sorry everyone still not feeling well so my plan to put up some more yummy holiday goodies is postponed. This is a great recipes for a busy day and when you have some apples on hand! You'll love it!

All yo need :)
Add the meat and oil

Dash of salt
Now the pepper
Add the cloves
Add the ginger
Rick the helper did the apples for me

Add the apples to the crock pot
Add the water
Add the onion
Come home to this!!
Dish up the plates!
Bavarian Pot Roast

Ingredients:
3 lbs beef pot roast -- (3 to 4)
1 tsp. oil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp pepper
3 whole cloves
4 apples -- cored and quartered
1 sliced onion
1/2 cup apple juice -- or water
3 tbsp flour -- (3 to 4)
3 tbsp water -- (3 to 4)
Wipe roast and trim fat.

Directions:
Rub top of roast with oil. Dust with salt, ginger and pepper. Insert cloves in roast. Put apples and onions in crockpot and top with roast. Pour in juice.
Cook on LOW 10-12 hrs or on HIGH 5-6 hrs.
Remove roast and apples - mix flour and water to a paste and stir into crockpot. Cover and cook until thickened. Makes 6-8 servings

  7. I usually just add carrots and potatoes to my roast...never would have thought of apples...sounds yummy.

  9. I need to get a roast here so I can do that one. Plus I have some extra apples from making applesauce (Yes I actually made it after you made yours-thanks for the reminder!) Mine are usually pretty boring-I just add carrots-LOL!
