Egg-Cellent Teacher Gift!

I'm always on the look out for fun and easy Teacher gifts. Teacher's work so hard and we've been blessed with some amazing ones over the few years. Caden just loves his teacher and how she is lifting him up and showing him how to be a better version of himself!

I found this super simple gift on Lil' Luna with a free printable, AND it's not just for Teachers she has one for a Neighbor and Friend!

What you Need:
Egg Candy (I LOVE Malt balls so that is what I got .. JUST in case I had extra that had to be eaten)
Mason Jar (Found small version at Dollar Tree $1)
Easter Ribbon (Found at Michael's $1)
Cupcake Liner (I added for a little extra flair)
Card Stock (Print her FREE printable on Card Stock)

Fill your mason jar with the Egg candy. I wrapped the cupcake liner around disk part of the lid, she painted hers (I didn't have the extra time). Add the ribbon with the print out on card stock (I ran out of white and had to use yellow).  Done!

Treats for My Peeps (Classroom Gifts)

I'm still alive I promise .. lol. I've been working and traveling to Boston more then I have ever. As soon as I got home from my last trip and just started to get my land legs and had to hop back on a plane to help and another event in Boston for work. I'm home this week trying to catch up family and all that fun stuff. I wanted to post a quick post to show the cute treats I made for Caden's classmates. This was the EASIEST thing I've done and so darn cute! I had everything at the house just had to grab peeps from The Dollar Tree.

I found this cute idea with a FREE printable on Simple as That, and true to the name of her blog it really was simple as that!

What you Need:
Peeps (Pack of 8 $1 Dollar Tree)
Bags (Pack of 40 $1 Dollar Tree - I had some in my crafting box)
Ribbon (I used Twin left over in my crafting box)
Lollipop sticks (or you can use paper straws - Used what I found in my crafting box)
Card Stock (I only had yellow, white would have been better)
Scissors
Hole Punch

She made a cute printable you can use then trim with scissors and add a hole w/ hole punch for ribbon/string. Take a Peep and push a lollipop stick into the bottom of the peep. Place in clear bag. Close with ribbon/string and the cute label. BAM done!!

TMNT Party ... Water Bottle Wraps

Next on the party list was an easy way to make water bottle's part of theme. I like to do this with all parties. I like to have an option beside punch and water bottles are so inexpensive and adding a wrap is so easy. I went on a google search and found these Free Printables on Hale Grafx. They have several different ones you can pick from.

What you need:
Water bottles
White Paper
Scissors
Hot glue gun

I don't waste the card stock for these since I usually have them chilling in ice and they get wet. You can if you keep them in a fridge but I think plain paper does just as nice. Print out the template, you can either use scissors or a paper cutter. I was in a hurry so I used scissors. I removed the water bottle wrapper that it came with. I then added a dot of hot glue to  my TMNT label and attached to the water bottle.

TMNT Shell Invites

Yesterday I showed TMNT Head Invites I did for friends, today I show the invites I made for the class. I knew most would get thrown away and was not going to spend 10 hours like last year for something that will go in the garbage. So I went on the search for a easy invite for the class I found this Shell template on Craving Some Creativity. Now her PDF is just one invite on a page. I printed this scanned it and turned into a jpg that I then added to a Word doc, and put 4 per page. Since I loaded into Word I was then able to add a text box using my FREE TMNT Turtle Font to add the wording I wanted.

NOW you don't have to do all that work, you can print the 1 per page and hand write the party info. I'm all about saving paper (especially Card Stock paper that is spendy).

What you Need:
White Card Stock
Printer
Scissors
Green Envelopes (if you want)
Clear Address Labels (if you want)

Either print one per page or my way 4 per page and cut them out and hand them out!

Wine Party Decorations and Food

The day of my mom's surprise 60th party was a blur and some of the food and things made got put up so fast I didn't get a chance to really take pictures of things done. But I wanted to make sure to show them off. A BIG thanks to my bestie Kari and my mom's 2 cousin and one of my cousin's for coming early and setting this all up!

A Bake Brie I found on She Wears Many Hats

The Table Set up:

Cheese Fondue Cooking in Stilettos
It may not look like much but OMG it was tasty!!!

These FREE Printables I put in some frames I picked up at the Dollar Tree
I found these printables on Hostess with the Mostess

I saw on From Beth's on Etsy a sign for Sixty and Sassy.
I took my cricut with my George and Elegant Edges Cartridges and made my own.

Bought Green Wine Bottles on Amazon and Flowers at Safeway.
They were beautiful on the tables.

I didn't get the best picture of this punch,
but I have NEVER had this many people want the recipe!
I took this version of Sarasota Lemonade on The Pampered Jes and tweaked it

Ingredients:

2 bottles Moscato

1 pink lemonade concentrate

3 C of Sprite (more or less, depending on your taste)
Fresh raspberries

Empty all the ingredients into the container and you're done! I ended up using 3 bottles of Middle Sister Moscato and Two 2 Litters of sprite and a large container of raspberries. I skipped the Lemonade and I can't say enough how amazing this tasted, I think the lemonade would have been a bit much.

Have a GREAT day!
I hope you enjoyed this party!

Easter Peep S'Mores ... Easy Classroom Treat

Easter is just around the corner and I had big plans to get the treats for the class done in advance. I also had an idea to do one for Caden's class and one for Cole's class. WELL time has gotten the best of me and I'm done to the wire and having only one project to do!

I kept seeing Peep S'More's all over pinterest, so forgive me if I don't link the right person but I'll post the one that came up the most. Peep S'mores found on Confetti by Lexi. Since I needed to make like 45+ of these I needed a print out that had a lot on one page. I searched and searched but couldn't find the exact one. WELL I found some on Etsy but I didn't want to pay for a class gift on top of what I've bough already. My husband is already all over me for making treats for every holiday. So I found a great free printable on Craftibilities for Peep S'More's I copied her one square pasted into a word doc and made it the right size to have 6 per page. I added a text box and typed the boys name and put on top of the printable next to the From:.

What You Need:
Peep's (12 Per Pack $1 Dollar Tree)
Graham Crackers
Hersey Bars (I used Crunch Bar's)
Plastic Bags (25 pk $1 Dollar Tree)
Ribbon ($1 Michael's)
White Card Stock Paper
Whole Punch
Scissors
Ink Jet Printer

Add one Peep to your plastic bag, add 2 graham cracker squares to the middle of the botto of your bag and then add a chocolate bar.  (I couldn't find Hersey bars, after 2 stores I resorted to Crunch Bars). Cut your tag out and add a whole with your whole punch. Tie up bag with a ribbon and add your tag to the bag. BAM your done!

Any Easter Treat Plans?

Life Gives you Lemons ... Cheer Me Up Gifts

A really nice lady that works at the YMCA that is always so cheerful and nice seemed a little down. We usually chit chat say hi etc and got to talking that she was just having a hard time lately.  I goggled Cheer Me Up Gifts and came across and idea on Michelle Paige's.  She had a cute free printable also to add to the basket.

This is a cute idea and rather inexpensive to make.

What you need:
Basket (I found at Hobby Lobby 50% off for $4.99)
Lemonade Cup (I added this to the gift at Hobby Lobby 50% off for $2.99)
Lemon Soap (Big Lot's $1)
Small Lemons (Grocery Store 5/$1)
Crystal Light Lemonade (Grocery Store $2.99)
Lemon Candies (Hobby Lobby $1.99)
Lemon Citrus Chapstick (Big Lot's $1)
Plastic decorating bag (Dollar Tree 25pk/$1)
Ribbon (White and Pink or just Pink)
Card Stock (For Tag and optional lemonade decorations)
Tissue Paper (optional to fit items in basket)

I had a plastic cookie bag I put the lemon's in.  I added some fun little details using my circut cutter. We had a Lemonade cartridge from the Lemon Battery Science Fair ProjectCaden did so I cut out a few lemons and a drink that I then cut out square's using the George Cartridge. I added in all the treats I picked up into the basket, I put a little tissue paper to hold everything together. I used ribbon to attach the free printable she had, I printed on white card stock and then added a piece of yellow card stock behind to make the tag pop.

You don't have to have the lemon's etc I just thought it would be fun and I had the cartridge and paper so it was easy to do. Make it fun add what fun lemon's you find, I recommend Hobby Lobby they had a whole lemonade section.

Have a great week!

We end the Party ... Lemon Fudge, Watermelon Lobsters & a Cool BBQ Invite

We wrap our party with some fun food!  I found a Microwave Lemon Fudge that I have been dying to make and new a BBQ would be perfect.  A watermelon cut into Lobster shapes and of course a FUN invite to pass out to our friends.  And of course the table all done up!

First I made a SUPER easy Microwave Lemon Fudge that I found on Lady Behind the Curtain. OMG is the words ok the initials I kept hearing over and over about this fudge, even the kids loved it.

Ingredients
1-10 ounce bag plus 1 cup of white chocolate chips
1-14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract
candies or sprinkles for decorating

Instructions
1. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with foil (make sure the foil hangs over the edges so serve as
handles).
2. Spray with non stick cooking spray.
3. In a 4-cup microwave measuring cup, mix chocolate chips, milk and butter. Microwave uncovered
on high 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until chips are almost melted.
4. Stir in lemon extract.
5. Pour mixture into prepared baking pan.
6. Sprinkle on sprinkles (optional)
7. Place in refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight before cutting.

ALEXIS NOTE: I used a lemon food coloring to give it a little pop of color.

Then I found a fun idea to cut watermelon shaped as a Lobster on Simply Suzanne's at Home.

Watermelon
Lobster Cookie Cutter
Mini Chocolate Chips (I ran out so I used regular ones)

Slice your watermelon the width of your cookie cutter.  Use the cutter to cut out the lobster shape.  Add 2 mini chips to be the eyes, I only had regular size so it was a little too large for the body.  I bought my cookie cutter off Amazon.

And for a fun FREE End of Year BBQ found on Becoming Martha. These were so freaking cute.  I saved the photo and uploaded into PicMonkey to add some fun wording.  I used a summer time font I had downloaded from a previous project.

Here is our table all done up!

And some fun shots of the party!

Teacher Appreciation Gift ... You're Awesome to the Core!

Onto our next Teacher gift, another one that would be perfect any time of year even the end of the year gift.  I found a great post on Shaken Together for Fruit Filled Teacher's Gifts.  I used the Awesome to the Core one.

The PTF suggested fresh fruit for one of the days and this worked perfect.  So simple but so awesome!

What you need:
Apple
Cupcake Liner
Clear Bag
Ribbon
Card Stock

Wash your apple (I know it seems to be a no brainer but just in case).  Dry off apple, put the apple in a cupcake liner.  I used one that was a shiny silver to give it a little pop.  Put in a clear Bag, I find mine at the Dollar Tree 25 pack for $1.  They are the best I've come across so far.  I had some left over apple ribbon from a gift I made for a teacher last year.  I wanted to jazz up the printable a little so I took her idea and added on.  I did a Google Search for Clipart Apples and copied it into word document.  Added the wording and printed onto a 5x7 cardstock paper I had on hand.  I punched a hole with my hole punch and added to the ribbon on the bag.

Take less than 5 minutes to make but so cute!
