I was looking for an easy chicken recipe I could throw into the crock pot and have ready for dinner. Working from home everyone thinks you should have all this free time. LOL they would be so wrong I'm usually at my keyboard none stop and don't have a free moment, so easy meals always help me out. This chicken dish was very moist, it almost fell apart when I took from the crock pot to the plate.
I just happen to have one bottle of beer left from when my dad was here so I used it (I know it's the only way beer is used in my house if I cook with it). This was a simple recipe that was extremely tasty. I found this recipe on one of my favorite weight watcher sites Laaloosh for Crock Pot Beer Chicken. I made this one since I'm still on a high protein, low carb and low sugar diet so I can eat the chicken and then add things for the boys like the au gratin potatoes they had.

Oh yum! Whenever I make a turkey, I pour a beer over it before I put it in the oven and it always comes out SOOO juicy and delicious.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm..... looks so good. I used to use beer in cooking but since candida.... I don't. I do use the crockpot a whole lot. I love that I can throw the food in, leave and come back to a meal.
ReplyDeleteBeer always adds a nice depth of flavor to whatever you are cooking
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy!! I will have to try this.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of cooking with beer but have never tried it. Your chicken looks delicious. Hmmmm...where is the beer?
ReplyDeleteI've seen that recipe pinned several times and I wondered how it would come out. We've made "Beer Can Chicken" on the grill and loved it, just didn't know if crockpot beer chicken would be as good. I'll be putting it on our menu next week. Might be a good Sunday night dinner.
ReplyDeletePerfect! I knew you'd come through with something great :D
ReplyDeleteThat sounds easy and looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteI just made this exact recipe last week. It was so good and super easy! The kids loved it too so it will be something I make again.
ReplyDeleteCongrats. on your weight loss! I tried this recipe too. Isn't Laloosh great? :) It was really moist and delicious. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteNow this is something I can eat and not feel guilty! Unless I make it in a keg! LOL!!!
