Paintball Themed Party ... Party Invites

The first project I did for this party was the invites. I saw several on different sites for sale but I only needed 5 with Cole only having 5 spots for the paintball game I bought. So why not make my own. 
 
I did a google search for paintball mask, paintball splatters, cammo background etc. I made sure my Google search was set for .png images, these are images without backgrounds so you can place them on top of each other and see behind. Have fun and add what you want. 
 
What you Need:
Word - Open a 5x7 paper size
Google - .PNG Images
5x7 Card Stock (I used photo paper, bought a pack at Dollar Tree a while back and used it) 

Make sure to add RSVP with your Ph #, Location, Drop off and Pick up, Date and Time.

Paintball Themed Party ... Paintball T-Shirt Cookies Made

One more cookie made for my son's Paintball themed party. Yesterday I showed the target cookies. Today I show you the Shirt version. They turned out so great and were a hit with the kids! I took the T-Shirt cookie cutter and added my son's name along with paint splatters.

What you Need:
Tshirt Cookie Cutter (found on Amazon)
Royal Icing - Orange, Blue, Red, yellow and white -uncolored (see recipe below) 
AmeriColor Orange, Blue, Red and Yellow
Food Marker Black
Pipping Bags

I piped each cookie with the white outlines and filled in with white. AFTER the cookies dry you add the details. I used a food marker in Black to put my son's name (you can do each person attending if you would like). For the splatters I took a piping bag of colored royal icing and made a splat and then added a few dots of paint. Let dry and individually wrap if you want. I put one in each gift bag the kids reached so I put in mini clear bag and sealed with my logo label.

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS:
1.In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight).
2.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
3.Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.

Royal Icing what you need:
2 lbs Powdered Sugar
1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
5 Large Egg Whites (or equivalent) 
Flavor to Taste
Gel Icing Color

Mix powder sugar and cream of tartar in your mixer, just to make sure it is incorporated in. Slowly add egg whites, then whip start of slow then go to very high speed. She says around 2 minutes, my friend had an older mixer so it took almost 10 minutes. You want stiff peaks that hold on and won't fall off the spoon. Add in your flavor, I would suggest you use a clear flavoring.  This would be the glue texture great for ginger bread houses etc.

Take 1 cup of royal icing in a smaller bowl then add your coloring, lightly mix so you don't get air into the the icing. I'm like her and like the gel coloring. 

For Top Coating - Add 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 tsp Water (This is if you don't want to outline and flood)
For Outlining - Add 1/2 to 3/4 tsp Water
For Flooding  - Add 2 to 3 tsp Water

Paintball Party ... Paint Splatter Target Cookies

My oldest Cole requested a paintball party for his 13th party. Since he is now older I can't do a big themed party last past years. After the boys finished up paint balling, we headed to get pizza. My parents took all the boys out for Pizza at my favorite place that I had my birthday party when I was his age. At the party I gave the kids treat bags and cookies. I did like normal and placed a cookie on top of a cupcake. I made these target cookies with paint splatter on it. These were one of my favorite cookies!

What you Need:
Circle Cookie Cutter
Royal Icing - Orange, Red, yellow, blue and white -uncolored (see recipe below) 
AmeriColor Orange, Red, Yellow and Blue
Food Marker Black

I piped each cookie with the white outlines. AFTER the cookies dry you add the details. When they have dried I took a black food marker to make a target on the cookies. When the black dried I then added the paint splatters with royal icing. Using a piping bag with each color I've a splatter and then a few dots to look like paint balls that splattered.

Skinny Pizza Logs (Emily Bites Recipe)

I had to share a new favorite of the boys! Super simple and easy to make for dinner that the boys have now requested the last two weeks! Emily Bites is one of the best Weight Watcher Recipe sites I've come across, she posted these Pizza Logs.

Ingredients:

  • 8 egg roll wrappers (larger than wonton wrappers)
  • 8 teaspoons store-bought pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 24 turkey pepperoni slice (I used Hormel)
  • 4 light Mozzarella string cheese sticks, each cut in half horizontally to make two shorter stick

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425. Lightly mist a large baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Pour some water into a small dish and set aside. On a flat surface, place an egg roll wrapper, corner facing toward you (like a diamond) and spread a teaspoon of pizza sauce horizontally across the center of the wrapper, leaving ½ inch or so of space on each side. Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning across the sauce and add a row of 3 pepperoni slices over the sauce. Place half a cheese stick on top of the pepperoni. Fold the bottom corner closest to you up over the ingredients and give it a 90 degree roll. Fold the side corners in and tuck them as you give the filled section another 90 degree roll. Dip your finger in the dish or reserved water and lightly wet the edges of the remaining top corner of the wrapper. Finish rolling the filled pizza log over the wet corner so that it adheres. Place wrapped pizza log onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  3. When all of the pizza logs are wrapped and on the baking sheets, mist the tops with cooking spray. Bake for 10-14 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the wrappers are golden brown.

Easter Egg Blue Chicks (Royal Icing)

And I finish up with the last of the Easter Cookies that I made last minute for a Easter Egg Hunt party. I saw this idea on Milk & Cookies.

What you Need:
Oval Cookie Cutter
Royal Icing - Blue and yellow (see recipe below) 
AmeriColor Blue and Yellow
Pipping Bags
Black Edible Food Marker

I piped each cookie with the blue outline and filled in the middle with blue. AFTER the cookies dry you add the details. I made a little swirl for hair, added a beak and feet. Using a black food marker I added the eyes.

Bunny Butt Cookies (Royal Icing)

And I finish up with some Easter Cookies that I made last minute for a Easter Egg Hunt party. I saw a way of making Bunny Butts using a bunny Cookie turned upside down. I saw this idea on Lizy B Bakes.

What you Need:
Bunny Cookie Cutter
Royal Icing - Pink and white -uncolored (see recipe below) 
AmeriColor Pink
Pipping Bags

I piped each cookie with the white outlines. I added the pink for the feet pads while the white was STILL wet. AFTER the cookies dry you add the tail details. When the tail was half dry I took a tooth pick and made it look like fur.
