Back to School Teacher Gift .. Coffee Gift

And one more Teacher Gift made, a few days behind but it has been made and delivered. I love coffee and coffee gifts are a fav of mine to make. I found this fun idea Thirty Handmade Days. She found a cool ruler crate at Michael's for the project, I sadly did not find such item. So of course I made one myself!

What you Need:
Crate / gift box (I found this one at Ross $6.99)
2 pkgs Rulers (4 rulers / 2 thin and 2 thick $2.99)
Coffee Cup (Ross $2.99)
Coffee (Walmart $5.49)
Coffee Creamer (Walmart $2.49)
Hot Glue Gun
Husband with a saw to cut the rulers done (or if your handy yourself)
Card Stock for the Free Printable (Click on her blog name above to find this)

I found this very cool crate at Ross and added the items inside and the rulers on the outside. I had my husband take the chop saw and cut my rulers down so I could cover the front and sides of my crate. Be creative and add them to the box, I did thick and then thin and so on! I used the hot glue gun to attach the rulers to the crate. I added a little tissue paper to hold the items in place. Inside the box I added the creamer, coffee and the cup I found (thankfully I think she has a sense of humor so the teacher cup was funny). This crate has a chalk board on it so I wrote Thanks a Latte! I added her free printable, printed on card stock, added a hole with my hole punch and attached with my famous twine I use for all projects.

I Like You a "Latte" Teacher Card

Last year I made Eighteen25's Thank you Latte card last year and this year I found she had a Valentine card that worked perfect to go in the I'm tickled pink teacher gift I posted yesterday! These cards are so simple to make and take less than 5 minutes and it's so thoughtful.
What you Need:
White Card Stock
Coffee Sleeve
Ribbon (I used some red sparkle pipe cleaners)
Coffee Gift Card
Hot Glue Gun

On white card stock (thicker paper) print the free template off Eighteen25's site, she has it set up 2 per sheet works perfect so I can do one for each of the boys teachers. Cut out one of the cards, take a coffee sleeve and cut in half.  Take a glue gun to attach the coffee sleeve to the card (I did like she did and left the ripple side out on the card). REMEMBER you need to use as an envelope to put the gift card in so don't GLUE all the sides leave the top open. I didn't have think ribbon or twin to wrap around the card so I used 2 sparkle red pipe cleaners to give a little bling.  I slide the GC in and you're done!!!

Any Valentine gift Ideas you have planned?

Thanks for Stopping by!

2 Features in one week!!!

The Amazing Kathryn from The Dedicated House featured my Thanks a Latte Card.  I loved this card so much and I was tickled to hear Cole's teacher loved it just as much.  I smiled so hard when she said she posted on her FB page and got like 40 likes.  She is such a blessing to us and see's Cole's heart and works with him.  I'm excited she will be following the kids to the 5th grade too!!  (on a side note we're happy to say Caden will be having a new teacher next year)!

Teacher Appreciation Gift ... Thanks A Latte

Last week was Teacher Appreciation week, but I wanted to finish my post of the Minecraft party so I had to share what we did for the teachers.  The PTF gave suggestions for each day, one day was a handmade card.  I found this really cool FREE printable for Thanks a Latte on Eighteen 25.  As you know I love these amazing bloggers that make these items and give free printable's, in my world they are rockstars!!

What you Need:
White Card Stock
Coffee Gift Card
Coffee Sleeve
Ribbon
Hot Glue Gun (or Glue)

I picked up a Starbucks giftcard while I was grocery shopping so I had to use a sleeve I picked up from target.  I would have liked to use a Starbucks one, but I didn't have time to run there so I used what was handy.  You know me I love my hot glue gun, you can use regular glue but I'm all about my glue gun.

Print the card, if you have 5x7 paper print on that if not use a regular sheet and cut yourself. If you know me I'm all about no waste and I had some 5x7 paper on hand (you can even use 4x6).  I cut the coffee sleeve in half and trimmed to fit on the card.  I should have trimmed a little more now looking at it, but it turned out pretty cute!  I took the hot glue and went along the bottom and the side and attached to the card.  She tied her's with twine I had some green ribbon left over from a previous project and used it :).  Wrap the ribbon around twice so you can tie in front.  When all dry insert the gift card in the top of the sleeve.  Have your little one write their name on the bottom next to from.

Quick and Easy but so worth it!  Cole's teacher came up to me and said her and her boyfriend thought it was the cutest card she had ever received!!
