Weekend Wrap ~ It was suppse to be down time!

This weekend was one of no parties so it will be down time right? LOL well if I sit on the couch then I feel like I'm not being a good mom etc. So it was time to do some cleaning and a few other fun things!

My headset died as you know.

Rick tried to fix it, sadly it is dead :(.

I use it 6 days a week for work so $60 for a year I guess isn't bad.

Cole's school had bowling last week!

What a fun way to teach kids Math & part of their PE unit.

Saturday was the day of cleaning!!!

Well that is between job in the AM and job in the PM

I didn't think this would take all day! UGH

Sunday was church

Then playdate at the boys cousins house

It was so nice to sit and talk with an adult.

Only had to stand up like 10 times to see why Caden was crying.

It's rough being the smallest kid :)

Then we have Rick's Birthday!

Rick attended SDSU so he loves SD Chargers

Can you believe that Skin was $35!!

Loves Emergency so I found Season 6 on DVD

And loves old school A Team so we'll try for the new DVD

So there you have it some of the weekend and the week all wrapped up into one :).

Weekend Wrap Wednesday ... Relaxing ... Well at least it was slower

Here we go it was a fun weekend as always! Friday on our way home Cole called my mom and so nicely asked "If you want we can come up and visit" .... LOL crack me up! So we headed up to my parents house. While the weather is going to fall there are a few days left to take the jet-ski out. Last year while on the jet-ski with my parents they flipped over. Cole has been freaked out with water ever since. So we've been trying to ease him back on, my parents even bought a new jet-ski that is bigger and we're hoping this would help him. At first he was all set to go and then when we went down to my parents water front he started to cry. We got him on and he went a little bit but came back very quick. When he came to get off, Caden walked over to Bapa and said "Me Me" ... LOL it was so freaking cute! So we put a life vest on him and off they went. He even drove it! The ducks even came over to visit, the geese were flying in a V and Mt. Rainier was looking gorgeous! Plus I love this plaque Mom has in her garden "Grow Damn it" ... LOL and she's the one that gave me the swear jar ... LOL

After Jet-Skiing we came in to a yummy meal mom made. She got these yummy kielbasa's and wrapped them in bacon, toasted the buns with tons of butter, of course added some cheese and then some yummy beans! Yeah I don't go there often for meals I would be even "fluffier" (as mom says to me ... LOL) . The boys planned dinos with "Bapa" and even swung on the swing in the sun porch and oh yeah ice cream, well Caden had fruit snacks he hates cold things! I even was able to sit back have a meal and a cup of coffee!!! Mom even added a little Baileys ... see my last post about wanting 10 minutes to myself, came true! Yeah :)

Saturday I actually sat in my PJ's almost the whole day, Cole played with the neighbor boy. Can I tell you how excited I am that they moved in? Caden and I chilled out, we tested out potty chair, then decided we didn't like diapers anymore! Well that was until I had to clean up a puddle ... sorry dude diaper on! Oh yeah our car got dirty, so he actually asked for a paper towel to wipe it off ... I know!

Then my garden is still going strong ... Yeah! Next year peppers all the way I have a bumper crop of them. And yes that is two different days I went out for a green pepper and peppers. One of them is the biggest green pepper so far it was big as my hand. And yes those are the first yellow ones that showed up! More eggplant showed up, I so need to make eggplant Parmesan. And yes that is the one lonely pumpkin that grew ... :( the rest look like that little one there! No clue what happened there!

Then I got a baking mood going on! I made some yummy things, recipes to come soon!! I made yummy Sour Cream Bread, I made some ribs love them @ the accidental scientist, a hot bean spread and egg salad (that went very yummy on my sour cream bread). That makes for one tired girlie :).

And Monday we had a field trip at an apple orchard by the house! Cole's Kindergarten class and the PreK class got to meet up. They had enough drivers, but I so wanted to go I could tell the teacher wasn't excited for me to show up but I need pictures. So I hook up my fancy GPS and off I go, threw all the construction ... hmmm maybe not the best day. Then I of course go down the wrong street, but I did see this amazing deer. I can't believe how sweet it was, it let me pull up slow down, fumble for my camera and just stood there staring at me. I'm tell you it gave me chills! I get to the farm to find one of the moms sitting there talking on her phone, ok well it wasn't like she was quiet she was rather loud. And she was not talking so sweet about some body! It was so fun, it took Cole a few minutes to see I was there, then he got a little over excited. Ok I guess I see why she didn't want me to come! The lady that did the talk I swear was 80, she ran and bent down and up better then I can! Oh boy I need to loose weight I'm telling you an hour of standing and my knee was killing me. It was a ton of fun and the two apples they were suppose to get turned into a bag full which Cole informed me "Mom you're making a pie right?" Yup I guess I am ;). So there it is my crazy weekend, and back to work I go. It's so slow there ... ugh!

So Thursday was the BIG field trip day to Anderson Island where Cole's teacher has a cabin. I took the day off weeks ago, and voice or no voice I was going! So that morning I get up early get everyone dressed and in the car. Well except for our Exchange Student who decided that today (the day I'm in a hurry) was going to take 20 minutes in the bathroom fixing his hair. UGH really I even gave you warning last night we had to leave early Thursday! So after waiting what felt like a million toddler years he got in the car and we were off. I dropped Caden off at daycare, exchange student off at his school, picked up a quick breakfast (I know not the ideal kind, give me a break) and then to Cole's School with 2 minutes to spare. Yes I'm doing a happy dance over 2 minutes.

They paired us up with who we were going to ride with to the cabin. I now know that I need to learn Korean. One to understand my exchange student when I know he's talking crap about me .. LOL and one to ride on this ride today. The teacher put me with the nicest two Korean ladies one thing they didn't speak English ... or I should say a few words just not enough to talk to me the WHOLE ride. Nope now picture this I got to ride in the back row behind two kids and in between Cole and another girl. I felt like my butt was vacuumed sealed into the seat. The sweet girl next to me even told me "You're too big to sit back here" Yup I know, no more excuses time to loose weight.

So our lovely ride to the ferry was oh so fun, yes I was brought along to be the babysitter didn't you know? I felt like we were in a taxi you know because they have that plastic shield in between them and their fare. Yup we had one too, it was just invisible or was it me who was invisible? The 25 minutes drive and 30 minutes waiting for the ferry, I became the only adult that told the kids to stop yelling, stop spitting and you know behave? Really hello would you like to turn around and tell your child to at least listening to me??? Yup a total of maybe 2 or 3 times did we turn around and acknowledge the screaming children. I have entered the zoo and I'm the only zoo keeper! 4 against 1 is not the best odds. I MUST say I have finally met two children worse than Cole! Yup I thought Cole was rambunctious and nothing compares to the girl and the boy I rode with. Oh yeah it was so much fun, yup and oh yeah my numb butt was only the tip or should a say the bottom ... LOL oh yeah I'm a pun queen!

We had lots of fun we played on the beach, the only time you will hear this mom actually say "Go throw rocks Cole" ... hey it was to put the stick down and do something else kind of talk. One of the little girls that rode with us was a scavenger, really she found 3 crabs! Yes I included pictures, who do you think you're talking too! Some near misses of rocks too close to heads, wet shoes and socks it was time to stuff my rear back in between the two car seats. Thankfully it wasn't very far to our next stop, a park! Oh yeah just a mild melt down, so I had to take Cole into the bathroom to have a quick little shape up or ship out talk. Back out to run some more, even a little relay race to run off some energy!

Off to the teachers cabin for hot dogs, watermelons and cupcakes. What a super cute cabin, even had a nice head to greet you when you walked in (yes picture included). At this point Cole wasn't feeling too well, and got a fever. I was very thankful that it was time to go home, well that wasn't until I remembered the long drive and the small spot for my butt! Back to the back of the minivan I go, with 4 screaming kids ... JOY! Thankfully Cole and I just kind of cuddled up together and let the other 2 mom's worry about their kids.

Homeward Bound to hopefully sleep it off and feel better! That was one heck of a field trip, yup I'm happy that we have the summer off.
