Fluffy Girls Guide to Disney Trip Day 1 …

Wednesday started with me getting up early to get work done and my calls done before the limo came to pick us up.  Cole did a half day of school, which was good and bad … lol.  Cole’s teacher didn’t like that Cole was a little all over the place last week and the week of the trip.  With the Disney trip and my grandmother our house was upside down there for a while.  Yes a teacher conference is in my near future … grand!

Now onto the trip, Rick scheduled the Limo my bosses got for us to come early to beat traffic.  The boys were so excited about the limo.  It looked older on the outside but the inside was very nice and the driver was a nice man.  My bosses bought me an iPad for Christmas and it was a lifesaver for this trip.

We hit the airport running, we had plenty of time to kill which with kids is not always easy.  Rick was very good about walking them up and down and riding on the moving walk ways.  I was able to sit and read a book which was so nice for me!

We flew on Jet Blue which is a great plane they had TV’s in all the seats which was great for kids and mom’s too!  THE only problem is if you’re a fluffy girl your butt may not fit perfectly in the seat!  My rear didn’t fit like it did last time (could be my rear is not the size it was the last I flew either).  Now I fit but let’s just say thankfully a super skinny lady was next to me because instead of muffin top I had side muffin which believe me isn’t anymore attractive then the other.  I really should have do the diet thing way before this trip even though I was down 6+ pounds it wasn’t what I needed.  So fluffy girls be ware of booty overflow!

My bosses were so nice and also rented us a car for the vacation.  We upgraded to a convertible for the boys who have been bugging me forever to ride in one.  I thought Cole was going to die when we walked up to it.  All he kept saying is “It’s a Sweet Ride”!  Another booty overflow for mom in the seat but it was worth it for the boys smiles!

Before we hit the hotel we needed to eat. Right next to the hotel was iHop with a sign that says Kids Eat Free … oh yes you know me and we went right there!  We had a great trip there and then we hit the hotel.

We stayed at the Quality Inn within walking distance to Disney.  The hotel on the website showed bunk beds.  When we got to the room it was 2 beds no big deal, so I called down to the front desk to find they don’t have bunk beds at the hotel … lol.  We got settled in for the night to get up early to hit Disney.

On an update for Today: Everyone asked us to bring back the sun, This I’m sure was NOT what they hoped for.  YUP this is what we got today.

Snowed in & Watching Movies

Hi Gang it’s no longer snowing “thank God” but we had ice rain all day yesterday and a lovely chill keeping the snow on the ground.  We are now on day FIVE of no school!  I think I may loose the little marbles I have left.  Thankfully Rick was scheduled to have Wednesday and Thursday off already so he hung with the kids those days.  Today I’m on my own!  Which if I didn’t have to work would be fine, but working from home doing calls with the boys is always fun!

The boys had fun in the snow and here is their “Snow Cone” Snowman … TeeHee!

We have thankfully also had our power the whole time “knock on wood” some of my friends are going on a few days with none.  Which means mom can watch moves!  Here are a few ones you must see Smile:

I’ve be waiting for this movie to hit DVD and it came on when we had a Star’s free preview weekend. It’s another great faith based movie that even Rick liked (probably because it had police officers in it). The Grace Card is a must to see, it will make you cry but it really gives you a calm.

Grace Card

This movie Field of Vision was on LMN and it was a must see also, it had some great Christian music in it but I don’t think it was a faith based movie.  It really was a great movie that showed bullying in high school, there were a few cheesy parts but I loved it.

Sexting in Suburbia was another great movie that sadly showed how bullying is in our schools and what it can do to those around us and sadly what it does to our youth.

sinsuburbia

Walking the Halls is another movie about what happens in to kids in high school that parents kind of loose them.  It was a sad movie with the drama of a lifetime movie.

There you have it, it’s cold and mom is trying to get over a cold and watching movies!  Hope you’re all staying warm!

Snow Snow Oh How Pretty .. But Please Can you Go Away!

Oh yeah they predicted 8 to 10 inches of snow and I think we are there or are very close to it!  We live in Washington snow is not something we usually get a lot of.  Rain now on the other hand, which is cool with me.  But Snow can really throw a wrench into my day.  Now Snow is great the kids can play and have fun and when I work OUTSIDE the home it was great.  I could call into work due to not being able to drive there and just hang with the kids.  Since my office is located in my house that leaves me with no excuse for not going to work.  SO we are on DAY 3!!! of kids home.  The kids go play for a while but come right back in and it’s all day long of “he touched me”.

THANK God Rick has the day off today so he can help out or you may all be seeing me in a looney bin!  Wish me luck and that the snow goes to higher ground where people love it and I can look at it from the distance … lol!

We Interrupt Your Regular Programing …

The Pacific North West has been hit by snow, thankfully yesterday was a Holiday so it didn’t mess up school but today we have been hit again.  It’s coming down like crazy, I swear it looks like a blizzard outside.  So a quick post today but of course I leave you with a recipe to keep your belly warm!  The boys of course are loving this, and mom is just trying to stay sane with boys in the house.

Recipe2-1

And for something to warm you up from the cold, well it’s served cold but when I was young mom would always serve it warm Smile.  I found an amazing recipe for Refreshing Apple Tapioca Pudding.

We interrupt your daily sch with SNOW and NO School!

I have sick boys (yes all 3) and now it snowed so no school! I think I may loose my mind today! So I'm sorry my dears no Must Watch Thursday, BUT don't leave me so early since the Oscars are on Sunday I figured I would share some yummy recipes you can take! Hope you have a warm day!

I found this recipe on Allrecipes, I tweaked it a bit using turkey bacon & turkey smokies (which I didn't know they made until now). I think Cole ate almost the whole batch and no one had a chance to eat one ... lol. Next time I'll make a double batch.

How do you deal with stress?

Me I usually at work buckle down and come out with my best stuff, but then I go home and stress eat. So being stressed this weekend I looked thru the cupboards and the freezer, after the sixth time thinking that the desert fairy would visit me I gave up. That and I was too lazy to make some cookie dough that was also sounding very yummy but with a broken mixer (thanks to thanksgiving mash potatoes) that would require hand mixing which my weak upper body strength wasn't up to. So I decided for the next best thing ... cleaning! I want totally OCD and arranged my closet by color, did the same with the socks and started on the rest of the house. 2 and 1/2 hours later I'm frustrated and going back to the cupboards and freezer wishing that something would miraculously appear. No such luck so I get everyone dressed and figure a little grocery shopping will get my mind off it, yeah spending money is a great time when your worried about your job ... logic isn't working, didn't you just read I opened up the freezer 7 times hoping something appeared. Apparently my head isn't thinking on all it's cells.
Shopping did oh so much good, well until I got home and then had to make dinner and no adult conversation. Oh how I miss Rick home to talk to, silly Christmas shopping store hours make our schedules crazy. So I put the kids to bed grab a glass of wine (yup still using the regular glasses so ok it's like 2 full glasses) and grabbed my pedi-egg. Again mixing wine with this sharp object probably isn't the best idea but hello do I need to say it again about my thinking? I gave up shortly on that and cut the toenails, yes another sharp object with wine. Hey the kids were asleep and I wasn't going anywhere, well hopefully not hurting myself and needing to go to the ER. Happy to say I have all 9 ... I mean 10 toes still :).
I was so wired that I stayed up and did the night shift for the call center, finished up around 1:30am and agreed to do a 7am to 11am shift (yet again, filling the time). So 5 hours of sleep and an easy shift 2 hours and only 2 calls, yet both times the phone rang Caden decided to have freak outs. Poor people got to hear me trying to keep him quiet, oh joy! One great thing is I had the chance to talk with a great person on the IM, so it made the 2 hours of no calls go by really quick. I finished up and have all kids standing there looking at me like there were about to die of hungry. So make up some french toast, thankfully I made bread earlier this week and by shear luck I bought syrup yesterday and some sausages that looked like just a little frost bitten ... LOL.
Today it lightly dusted in the morning so I sent the boys outside (don't shake your head just the two oldest ones, with warm coats). Then I got the brilliant idea to drive to the store and the bank to get some cash, well during the few hours the snow came down like crazy. Well on the way home a car stopped abruptly and with some lovely skidding and quick turning we barely missed him, thankfully the car behind me was able to hop the curb and avoid me (thanks to you). I got home made some yummy chicken enchiladas (the chicken you cook in beer, oh shush I barely drink and the alcohol burns off just make the chicken tender) and got my lazy butt to make some surprise bars (oh shhs again I'm going to take them to Grandma Pat's tomorrow, that is if I don't eat them all tonight). That is my wonderful weekend in a nutshell, it's crazy but I think I'll stay on the train for a while longer. I'll keep you posted how tomorrow goes, ugh. That is if I can get out of my driveway, the snow is not looking so good and the ice is nasty.
