I laughed so hard I almost tinkled .. TMI?

Rosie Show

Since the demise of my OLD favorite talk show “The Talk” I have kind of given up on talk shows.  I do DVR Ellen which a fun show and I seem to fast forward threw some of it.  Then I was watching something the other day (yup it was some soul sucking show I’m sure) and before I could fast forward to back to the mind numb I saw a commercial.  Rosie O’Donnell is returning to the talk show game.

The first episode was a little rocky but hey you should expect that, but by the 2nd one they had it going and then 3rd and I’m hooked.  At first I thought I’ll just fast forward threw the songs and games etc.  But then I found myself glued to the show!  This first part she does stand up the old skool way with a mic and all.  LOVE it!  OMGosh this show is hilarious and I can’t stop laughing and loving every minute of it EVEN the game part!!

If you have not watch this show I highly suggest you check it out, heck DVR it so you catch them all!  Rosie has great timing and makes you laugh so hard you almost tinkle … What it is true!  Watch this show you will love it I promise … well I have no money so you can’t come after me if the promise doesn’t come true … lol.

Anyone else seen it?  Enjoy!!!

Must Read & Watch (Special addition)

Making all the parents proud some books, with a little TV and some DVD’s.  You know I love my books and now going to the gym I read threw a book in 2 or 3 days so little time for TV or DVD’s.

BOOKS MUST READ (WELL ONE MAYBE NOT)

Dying In Style

This book has charm, now it did have some slow moments but you really fell in love with this single mom who is a mystery shopper who gets wrapped up in a murder and then must solve the murders to clear her name.

Dying In Style

Mystery shopper Josie Marcus's report about Danessa Celedine's exclusive store is less than stellar, and it may cost the fashion diva fifty million dollars. But Danessa's financial future becomes moot when she's found murdered, strangled with one of her own thousand dollar snakeskin belts—and Josie is accused of the crime.

Twenties-Girl

I truly loved this book you fell in love with the main character who becomes haunted by her great aunt who passed away.  She finds out things about herself and becomes a new person with even a chance at new love.

Twenties Girl

Lara Lington has always had an overactive imagination, but suddenly that imagination seems to be in overdrive. Normal professional twenty-something young women don't get visited by ghosts. Or do they?
When the spirit of Lara's great-aunt Sadie--a feisty, demanding girl with firm ideas about fashion, love, and the right way to dance--mysteriously appears, she has one request: Lara must find a missing necklace that had been in Sadie's possession for more than seventy-five years, because Sadie cannot rest without it.
Lara and Sadie make a hilarious sparring duo, and at first it seems as though they have nothing in common. But as the mission to find Sadie's necklace leads to intrigue and a new romance for Lara, these very different "twenties" girls learn some surprising truths from and about each other. Written with all the irrepressible charm and humor that have made Sophie Kinsella's books beloved by millions,Twenties Girl is also a deeply moving testament to the transcendent bonds of friendship and family.

Wicked Craving

This book I thought I would love the lead is a curvy girl, perfect I thought but sadly the first 30+ pages just didn’t grab me.

Wicked Craving

Savannah Reid may have a few extra curves on her full-figured body, but that hasn't stopped her from becoming one of California's most successful private investigators. Her latest case puts her hot on the trail of a shady weight loss therapist who's made a killing treating—and cheating—his overweight patients. The question is, did he kill his wife, too?

Pound for pound, this is shaping up to be one of Savannah's toughest cases ever. But she'd better find the killer soon. . .or else the bodies will just keep piling up.

DVD’S MUST WATCH

Gnomeo and Juliet

I’ve been so excited for this to come to DVD (since I NEVER go to the movies).  It didn’t disappoint I laughed so hard at the things that were so cliché but you just had to laugh.  And come on how could you NOT love a Gnome with Oz Osbourne’s voice coming out of him.  When Amazon has it on sale I will be buying it!

Gnomeo and Juliet

An edgy Shakespeare adaptation like no other, this animated musical transports the classic tale of forbidden romance between two star-crossed lovers from warring families to the unlikely yet hysterical world of garden gnomes. Featuring songs from legendary recording artist Elton John, this movie features the vocal talents of Emily Blunt, James McAvoy, Jason Statham, Patrick Stewart and Michael Caine.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt I

A few of the movies haven’t held up to the book in my mind but this one was great and I can’t wait for part II.  I need to add it to my collection.  Cole even sat down and watched with me for movie night.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Pt I

The first installment of the two-part conclusion to the Harry Potter series finds the bespectacled wizard (Daniel Radcliffe) walking away from his last year at Hogwarts to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes, putting an end to Voldemort's bid for immortality. But with Harry's beloved Dumbledore dead and Voldemort's unscrupulous Death Eaters on the loose, the world is more dangerous than ever.

Narnia The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Another one that was a book that I grew up reading this series and spent many hours that helped my mind go into a great imagination world.  This movie was another great one to watch and to add my collection.

Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

With their dour, bookish cousin Eustace (Will Poulter) in tow, the youngest Pevensie offspring -- Lucy (Georgie Henley) and Edmund (Skandar Keynes) -- take an unexpected trip back to Narnia and join noble King Caspian (Ben Barnes) for an epic high-seas adventure. Setting sail aboard the Dawn Treader, the young heroes head for the end of the world, determined to rescue seven once-powerful lords banished by Caspian's evil uncle.

No Strings Attached

This was a cute movie at times I was like ok come on move on, of course with the title of the movie you’ll know what the first half of the movie is going to be about, so after a bit that was the point I said let’s move on.  The middle and end was very funny!

No Strings Attached

Emotionally unencumbered and sexually satisfied, friends with benefits Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Ashton Kutcher) have an open relationship that suits them just fine. That is, until those pesky little things called feelings enter the picture. Ivan Reitman directs and Kevin Kline and Cary Elwes co-star in this comedy that explores the perks and pitfalls of modern romance.

The Dilemma

This movie had some moments in it that were kind of silly but there were also some great moments.  It is worth a rental.

The Dilemma

Oscar-winning director Ron Howard serves up a delicious comedy about two best friends and business partners -- Ronny (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Kevin James) -- who are about to land a fantastic deal when Ronny learns something about Nick's wife, Geneva (Winona Ryder), that rocks his world. Ronny turns amateur sleuth to determine whether Geneva's cheating on Nick and learns that telling a friend the truth is even more difficult than concealing it.

TV MUST WATCH:

extreme makeover weight loss edition

I love these heart warming shows about real people that touch your heart.  Now I’m not at the weight close to these people but I do NEED to loose a good amount of weight and I so want this guy to come to my house! Smile

Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition is a unique undertaking that's unlike anything you've ever seen TV. The show documents the amazing makeover of eight courageous, obese individuals who set out to safely lose half of their body weight over the course of a year. The metamorphosis is truly amazing.

Trainer/transformation specialist Chris Powell (The 650-Pound Virgin) guides each of the eight participants through the process after moving into their homes. He's there to make sure the participants get the proper nourishment and exercise movement. Chris provides a fresh perspective to individuals whose lives have become unmanageable because of their weight.

In each of the eight one-hour episodes, participants undergo a transformation not only of their bodies, but of who they are as individuals. Each stand-alone episode of Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition chronicles one participant's journey.

franklin & bash

TNT has a new show that has two lead actors I have always loved.  This show has some potential it is a little kooky in some moments but I do like the characters.

When they're not hanging out at their favorite hot dog stand pontificating on what they'd go through to enjoy a night with their favorite female celebrities, Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) are chasing down their latest clients...sometimes literally. With business cards in hand, they're ready to nab a client within seconds after a car accident, arrest for solicitation or any other incident where their legal services may be needed. Once in the courtroom, they show their flair for the dramatic and the shocking.

SYTYCD

Ok don’t laugh at me but I just got into this show, yes it’s on season 8 … lol.  I never thought it would be something I would enjoy but I caught the first try out episode and loved it.  Well that and seeing the clip on Ellen of her dancing really made me wanting to watch it!  And I’m loving it, these people are so talented.

America's favorite summer series, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, has kept viewers amazed and inspired as talented dancers skilled in everything from Hip Hop, Krumping and Popping to Salsa, Quickstep and Jive compete to be named America's Favorite Dancer.

Hosted by Cat Deeley, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE traveled across the country to Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles and Miami, in search of dancers who represent the best in America. Those who shine during auditions are given a ticket to Las Vegas for callbacks, where they work with top choreographers to learn and then be judged on multiple styles of dance.

So there you have it a lot of fun things to read and watch!

On Demand Never Miss Your Show Again!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ondemand-1

One of my guilty pleasures is TV, now it's usually on in the background. Not that I actually get to sit on the couch and watch but I love to at least hear my shows while I walk around :). The thing with being a mom and working at home mom is I'm running around or working different hours so I don't always get to catch my shows (yes I have several) when they are on. Rick usually will catch me up but something about hearing them (yes hearing, I don't really get to see them) for myself.

That is where On Demand really comes in handy, no more rushing around or being upset when I miss one of my shows. Even better I can catch up on what I'm missing. Ok laugh at me now I just caught America's Got Talent and I'm hooked, but of course I missed the whole selection auditions and the first cuts. But if I had On Demand I would find my new favorite show plus previous episodes! I know hello sign me up :). Now check out the On Demand home page to see what show you won't be missing if you sign up!

I know some of you LOVE Mad Men you catch previous episodes before the season 4 starts this summer. Don't worry there is something for everyone such as ESPN, ABC and USA and the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon offer shows anytime you would like to watch them!! On Demand is no longer just for movies and the Charter TV in Digital is very popular for that reason!

DVD Thursday & of course a few other shows!

I rented this one for the boys they thought it was cute. It was kind of weird seeing Jackie Chan as the boyfriend. It didn't feel like a good pair but it really wasn't a movie for me it was more for the boys. Cole thought it was funny and took it over for his buddy to watch with him. It's a cute rental not one I would buy but good for the night of laughs.

While babysitting for his neighbor, Gillian (Amber Valletta), Bob (Jackie Chan) is thrust into a world of top-secret adventure after one of the kids inadvertently downloads a secret code in this action-packed comedy. Now Bob must guard the children when secret agents descend upon them. Billy Ray Cyrus, Lucas Till and George Lopez co-star, with Lopez playing CIA agent Glaze, who might not be on the up-and-up.

What an amazing story and you know how I'm a sucker for any true stories. This was a powerful story of what a dad will do for his children. Harrison Ford was great as always he does good these days picking the right role and this was just perfect for him. Keri Russell (McSteamy's wife) played a great mom figure not as prominent role of the dad but still a great job. Great ready to cry and laugh but I promise it's worth the rental.

After their two young children are diagnosed with a rare genetic disease for which conventional medicine has no cure, John (Brendan Fraser) and Aileen (Keri Russell) pin their hopes on the work of unconventional scientist Dr. Robert Stonehill (Harrison Ford). Director Tom Vaughan's heartfelt drama is based on the true story of the Crowley family, as chronicled by journalist Geeta Anand in her book The Cure.

My girl Randi @ Beauty Be Good posted TrueBlood being about one of my favorite series of books. Yes I live under a rock and don't have pay channels. I love Sookie Stackhouse's character and the books I haven't read in a few years but LOVED them and was very excited to watch this show. Netflix sent me CD 1 which was episode 1 and 2. Now of course it was different then the books and I will have to go back and read because I think I'm missing something.

The show was great it did have a good amount of adult content that I could have lived with out but it is a pay channel and they always add in that extra crap that really doesn't do anything but whatever. Sookie comes right of the page to life. Enjoy I can't wait to for CD 2 to come.

Mind-reading waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin, in a Golden Globe-winning role) dives into a complicated relationship when she falls for vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) in a world where the undead live openly and drink synthetic blood. Trying to improve their image and legitimize their finances, the out-of-the-coffin bloodsuckers hire PR firms and contribute to influential Republican politicians, among other tactics.

Oh how the boys love Wow Wow Wubbzy on Nick we watch it a lot and anytime I see it out on DVD I have to rent it for the boys. Another great one that teaches kids about going green. LOVE IT!

This collection of tales from the hit animated show for kids includes Earth-conscious episodes such as "All Bottled Up," in which Wubbzy and his pals learn how to recycle their used juice containers. The program also includes "Too Much of a Doodle Thing," "Zoo Hullabaloo," "The Flight of the Flutterfly" and "Save the Wuzzly," in which Wubbzy helps a clan of bears find a new place to live when the trees in their forest home are chopped down.

Anyone else so happy to see my pink Girl Ashley kicked those boys butt! Way to go girl you can win it all I'm screaming for you!! I also voted for my man Daris to be the final 3. What an amazing group of people and what hard work that shows us we all can do it!

Anyone else sad the "Plus-size" Alexandra didn't win. Ok first off she's plus come on she doesn't even need to suck in her gut to wear a swimming suit! Not everyone needs to be a size 2. Ok stepping my fluffy self down of my soap box. But I was said that they wouldn't let her win. Yet again the same look wins. UGH another one I may have to stop watching.

I'm such a teen at heart and love One Tree Hill it's like a good modern day 90210 (we won't talk about the one that they redid). I loved they brought it back 4 years ahead in time helped keep the show interesting but then there was rumors it may be canceled this year. But then they end with two key people being shot. Ok please don't be like all those other shows and leave us hanging forever. Why can't shows take a note from Mash and end a show right?

Ok come on you were like me and thought Trump wanted Cyndi Lauper vs Sharon Osbourne. I just knew it with all the times he kept them on. Then he fired Cyndi and I was shocked. Then he fired Sharon and I was totally in awe!

Really Holly Robinson-Peete vs Bret Micheals. Yup I was a little shocked and almost didn't want to go on ... but of course I'm nuts and can't quit a show so there it is.

DVD Thursday plus a few other things!

I read this book about 7 years ago and loved it, it was written so beautiful of a love of ones daughter and what a dad will do to find his daughters killer. The movie of course took some different paths some a little on the odd side. But overall it kept you wanting to watch and follow along with the story. For you have not read the book you'll really enjoy it and then I say go read the book you'll enjoy it even more.

It had a lovely story of what a dad will do to find justice. Now I haven't always been the biggest fan of Marky Mark ... sorry going back to my New Kids on the Block days but he has surprised me over the years with the roles he has done. This one is one that is top notice. Stanley Tucci as the crazy person is just nuts, he played it to a T! A good one to watch, not sure if I would want to buy it just because I don't really like to cry more then usual, Rick says I'm a baby with movies and yes even commercials! Enjoy!
When 14-year-old Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan) is murdered, she watches from above as her family deals with her tragic death -- and as her killer prepares to strike again. Torn between vengeance and healing, Susie's loved ones are forever changed.

The boys loved this one, we watched it several times I actually had to sneak it to the mailbox! I watched a little bit of it while hanging laundry. It was so cute, I've always enjoyed The Backyardigans since they show the boys to use their imagination to find new words. The kids will love watching the "princesses" trying to escape the castle! GREAT movie for kid night!

Everyone's favorite gang of toddler-sized adventurers with very active imaginations are back, and this time, Tasha and Uniqua are damels in distress, trapped in a castle tower and eager to escape the clutches of their captors, Pablo and Tyrone. Follow along in this and three other awesome adventures as the intrepid explorers discover a world of endless magic and roleplaying fun, all as close by as their own backyard.

So I saw the previous when this was coming to the theater and I thought it would be a GREAT movie I was so excited to watch it! Then it came and I tried I really did I try but I couldn't give it more than 1/2 hour. It was horrible, now I usually love British comedy and shows but this was just bad! It was full of nudity and bad language which I can usually hang with but this was just over the top and you kept going really did you need that? If you have it on your queue really I suggest removing it, you mind will thank me!

In mid- to late-'60s Britain, an unusual yet colorful subculture sprang up and thrived as a product of the upswing in British pop music, only to meet its doom within a few short years. Though the BBC functioned as the country's main source of news and music, its programmers offered very little airtime to rock & roll -- which left an overwhelming need unfulfilled. In response, small bands of "pirate" radio enthusiasts set up broadcasting towers on boats just outside of English boundary waters, and transmitted signals to an estimated 25 million listeners, 24 hours a day and seven days per week.
This was a tear jerker, Debby @ JUST BREATHE posted about it so I had to catch it and I'm glad I did. It was a great movie that made me cry and show such forgiveness I don't know I would have the strength for.

I think the Amish are amazing some of their ways may be strange but they sure have a sense of faith and family. I'm said they shun people that leave and I'm not sure I could ever do that. To forget and not speak to someone who is no longer in your same belief is hard for me. Such a tragic movie that is a true story that tore at my heart strings and made me cry. Catch it if you can the next time they show it.
The peaceful Amish community of Nickel Mines is forever changed when a gunman senselessly takes the lives of five girls in a schoolhouse shooting before taking his own life.

What transpires afterward takes the community by storm, as the media descend on the town and criticize its Amish leaders for their notion of unconditional forgiveness of the shooter and their outreach of support to his widow, Amy Roberts (Tammy Blanchard). Devastated by her daughter’s death, Ida Graber (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) finds herself struggling with her community’s belief in the transcending power of forgiveness.

Wow is all I have to say you all know how I love TV movies this one came on again this weekend and I was able to catch the parts I missed. This is a crazy story of lies and deception. Can you imagine being married to a man that turned out not to be the man everyone and you thought he was?

Then he kidnapps his daughter and even cuts and changes her appearance to be like a boy!!! This is a startling story that draws you in and as a mom was very unsettling! I just love Sherry Stringfield from her ER days and it was nice to see her in this role. Now I was never a fan of Will & Grace but Eric McCormack was wonderful in this role. Scary good!
In what was called “the longest-running con in FBI history,” Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, the man people knew as “Clark Rockefeller” (Eric McCormack), had brilliantly impersonated numerous people, ranging from a talk show host to a Pentagon advisor, before ultimately claiming to be an heir to the famous Rockefeller family. Confident from the success of his prior scams, Clark quickly became well known and highly respected among Boston’s elite and used his purported high-society status to charm his way into the life of Sandra Boss (Sherry Stringfield), a millionaire with a Harvard MBA and a partner at the prestigious management-consulting firm McKinsey & Company. Following a whirlwind courtship, the two married and had a daughter, Reigh (Emily Alyn Lind, “Eastwick”), before their rocky 12-year union ended in divorce, leading Clark to abduct his beloved daughter after losing custody to Sandra. With the help of FBI agent Megan Norton (Regina Taylor), Sandra’s search for her daughter exposed Clark’s lifelong con game for the world to see, and ultimately raised questions about the real man and the deception he is capable of.

I'm a little sad one of the shows I've enjoyed has come to an end :(. We have dish network and for about 4 months didn't have ABC so I missed a bunch of eposides ... yes I have them added to my netflix when they come to DVD. So I missed the whole change to new glasses and more fashionable Betty. So this last week was the series finale.

I think they did a great job of wrapping up the show with Willamina gaining a little bit of a heart and the job she has always wanted. Justin finally came out to the family and Betty moving to London. I was a little sad they didn't show her and Daniel finally together but they did leave it in case they ever did a reunion show. Over all they did a great job, now it's no Mash ending but hey who could ever touch that? Thanks for ending it and not just leaving us hanging like so many shows that drive me nuts!!!

My new favorite show! As I said I missed Ugly Betty and did a search for Ugly Betty and found it on Soap Net TV usually I don't go to this station. Rick on the other hand goes there a lot to watch old 90210 reruns ... lol.

I came across Being Erica, if you haven't seen this show you MUST see it! It's like a Quantum Leap kind of show (if you don't know that one you're missing out). Erica has a Dr. Tom that is a therapist but not like any other therapist he send Erica back in time to her regrets from the past to change the future.

"Being Erica" is a one-hour series that explores the life of Erica Strange, a woman who has been given an amazing gift: the opportunity to relive a regret from her past enabling her to make a positive change in the present. Erica's present is this: she is 32 years old, perpetually single and stuck in a series of dead-end jobs.

Meanwhile, her friends are getting married, buying their first homes and climbing the corporate ladder, essentially leaving Erica in the dust. It all comes to a head when Erica suffers a series of mishaps that land her in the hospital. There she encounters the mysterious and eccentric Dr. Tom -- a therapist who seems to know a little too much about her life. Even more bizarre, he offers to help fix her current woes -- IF she accepts a challenge.

Desperate for change, Erica provides Dr. Tom with a list of her life's greatest regrets, and unexpectedly finds herself sent back in time to her teenage years. Keeping full possession of her 32-year-old mind, Erica realizes she's been given the opportunity of a lifetime - to make different choices in her past that will ultimately reshape her present. As Erica weaves in and out of the present and past, guided of course by the mysterious Dr. Tom, she gradually realizes that she needs to stop blaming her prior mistakes for her current predicaments and ultimately learn to take control of her destiny.
