Giveaway CLOSED ... Winners Announced and Emailed. 4/27 AM.
I'm so excited about my newest giveaway! I saw these amazing cloths on another giveaway and being the not so shy person I am I send them a nice email asking (ok begging) if I could do a review/giveaway! And guess what they were so sweet and agreed! They sent me 2 packs 4-pack: Mixed colors with flower print for my 2 of my lucky readers to win!
Now let me tell you a little about these amazing cloths! Skoy Cloths are 100% biodegradable and 1 cloth can replace 15 rolls of paper towels! Yes you heard me correct 15!!! Isn't that amazing! Coming from a house that always used paper towels for everything that means a lot to me. Yes I lived in that crazy house that towels were for decoration not to wipe your hands. My mom would scream don't touch just look ... LOL yes it was a theme in her house and sadly I also have taken on this habit of the pretty towels ... LOL. So $2 a roll x 15 rolls is $30 you can buy a 4 pack of Skoy Cloths for $5.99, let me break that down for you .... (yes I had to pull out the calculator) around $1.50 a cloth vs $30, now I don't know about you but money is tight in my house and hello $30 saved is a winner winner chicken dinner to me ... LOL sorry I couldn't resist.
So you know me I'm a skeptic at heart so I have to try out anything and when I say try I mean put it to the test of all test! My floor, since a certain cleaning helper hasn't done the floor in weeks, it's up to me. With 3 boys running around my floors are nasty no matter how much I sweep. So I wet my Skoy Cloth and put it to the test, now if I was smart I would have put a bucket of water next to me. I ended up standing up and rinsing it out, but hey it gave me exercise! I hate using towels because it seems like you just end up with a soggy mess on your hands! The Skoy Cloth was awesome you wrung it out and went to town, don't worry I included pictures!
Now the Rules, I know but I make them easy :).

At first site, I thought it said 'clothes', and though biodegradable clothing, sounds sexy :) but I guess if I tied enough together I would have an outfit that if I spilled; then I just take it off in the ladies room and rinse! Better than coconuts which do not fit me any who!

I had cleaned my fridge all out and it was so clean and sparkling. My father in law was over and went to get the pitcher of a drink and spilled it. Bam it went all over my clean fridge. I bet these skoj would have done a better job than the paper towels did.

ReplyDeleteHere's my funny cleaning story... I actually have a post about this. Ella was being really quiet in her room so I thought that I should go check on her. When I did she had taken all of the diapers and tried to stack them in her drawer - they were all over her entire room - she had taken a brand new package of baby wipes and taken every single one out and tried to stack them. As I was cleaning that up, I realized that it was quiet-too quiet. Oh no, what is Ella doing now? I looked around the house and found her in my bathroom. She had unrolled an entire roll of toilet paper and then tried to hide the evidence by stuffing it down her shirt. I tried rolling it all back up (didn't really work). Then about 1 hour later, after I fed the twins I heard her talking to herself and thought I would go spy on her. She had gotten into another drawer and dumped out a whole container of baby powder. It was on the floor, on her face, all over her clothes... Needless to say it was quite the day of cleaning.
ReplyDeleteOk, so a funny cleaning story. This is from years ago when I was still in high school. I am a notorious pack rat and mess maker. My closet was pretty much a wreck all the time, you could never see the floor, and I always made the joke that if I ever cleaned it I would probably find a body in there somewhere. Well, one day I did decide to clean. So I'm picking up things, shoes, clothes, sorting them and putting on them on the bed etc....and then I reach in my closet and feel....HAIR. Like a head full of hair. I screamed, jumped, and pretty much freaked out. After my little display of crazy, I snuck up to my closet and peeked in to see what I had touched. It was an old Halloween wig that I had gotten the year before. Holy crap. Actually though, after that I don't think my closet was that messy again!
ReplyDeleteI am back...back...back...
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, oh yeah...
ReplyDeleteYou cannot get rid of me, oh yeah, oh yeah...you have not been to my sight, and I resent you the link...check in spam...I will resend once more, once more...oh yeah oh year...only two, well three glasses of wine tonight, tonight, tonight...

ReplyDeletelol...funny cleaning story...my daughter loves to help clean. She helps my mom clean her floors all the time, well one day she was visiting my mil's house (she is not very clean at all) after about an hour I get a call from my mil asking me why my daughter (at the time 1.5 or 2) is on her kitchen floor "cleaning" it for her! lol, it took all I had not to laugh at her! All taylor could tell me later was "grandma's dirty, I clean" lol...my daughter's a gem!

ReplyDeleteVery cool!
Funny cleaning story, well sort of funny.
ReplyDeleteWe were cleaning out our garage so we could put some shelves up in the corner. I was using a broom to remove cobwebs in the corner and discovered a beehive!!! We all had to run for cover! Luckily we had our neighbor come over because he had one too and knew how to get rid of it!
I like the white ones. The flower is a cute touch.
ReplyDeleteHave your button. In the same place it always is.

ReplyDeleteA funny cleaning story? I thought cleaning stories were all "horror stories". I am confused. Remember the time I posted where j-bug peed and pooped in her trash and it sat in her room with the door closed all weekend...that was funny...sure it was. Ick!
ReplyDeleteJeesh! You put that cloth through the ringer. I like how they can send you more every 3 months so you don't have to reorder.

ReplyDeleteFrom their website, I see that you can purchase a "subscription" and get 8 Skoy cloths every 3 months. A great idea and very convenient!
ReplyDeleteMy cleaning story may be funny some day, but not quite yet. Roomie has been complaining about his son's laziness and how he does just enough to get by. I'm sick of the kid's poor aim in the bathroom, both at the toilet and the waste basket, so I sent him upstairs to clean the bathroom, thinking he can see what a pain it is. He came back down 10 minutes later. I asked if he was done cleaning, and he said Dad told him he only had to wipe down the surface and put the Q-Tips in the trash. Where does his attitude come from, I wonder. (This happened this morning. Would it be wrong of me to hold a chicken over a candle flame for a minute and telling them I cooked dinner tonight?)
ReplyDeleteI like the mixed colors with the flower print. :)
