It's summer time and with summer comes warm weather (well not here in Washington right now). Along with that warm weather comes house projects. On our to do list this year is more painting in the house and outside the house. We're looking to modernize the house and nothing can do that more than a fresh coat of paint.
Paint can change the look of a house especially the outside, currently my house is a grey with teal. I know tacky but that is what is was when we bought it, it really does date the look of the house. We've been driving around at the new houses being built and have fallen in love with the rich colors of khaki and deep maroons. I went to Glidden and fell in loving with the Ground Nutmeg which is a beautiful brown with the cherries jubilee that is a rich red. They looks so GREAT together, I'm going to have hubs head over to Home Depot to check it out! Guess what is the best part you can get a little tester can to try out! So now my tacky grey/teal can have strips of different test colors ... well at least we know it will be finished and look beautiful in the end!
Don't laugh how many times have you bought a color and then
don't like it but you're stuck with a large can! The testers come with a brush in the lid, nothing like simple!! Then when you're all done you can pick up a tester for times like when your child takes a permanent marker to the wall or you know throw a train and chip off the paint. I know this would never happen in my house! Who am I kidding I better pick up a few of these little cans, easy to store and less messy then the a big can.
Look for some ideas head over to http://bit.ly/bjLb2u for top 10 color palettes and XL paint chips. Watch @Glidden_Paint on Twitter for fun tweets. I can't wait to see what fun summer projects you do. I promise you'll see more of ours soon!
I LOVE the idea of testers! Now I'm excited about some fun paint possibilities!
