When times get tough like they are now many of us think about our faith some wonder how this could be and look for blame. Easiest to blame is God in most people thinking, our pastor has been talking about this lately. Should God protect us from this? Or is it someone else that causes the pain? Pastor Jim Pace has firsthand experience of what evil can lurk and the questions that will follow. He was around when the during the hard times that followed the Virgina Tech Shootings. Being alumni of Virgina Tech he was thrown in the middle when all the questions started to fly how God could let this happen. He's insight and same questions of things going on in this crazy world were very insightful and beautifully written.

The book starts with a wonderful introduction I would love to share:

Maybe our world is violently spinning out of control and those of us with faith in God are just the last ones to get the memo. Maybe there really is no one in charge. Maybe we are the like kids in the back of a car careening down the highway with no one at the wheel, frustrated at all the swerving but confidently telling ourselves that someone must really be up there.

Sound like something you may have thought to yourself? I know it's hard when things are tough and you don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. It's sometimes easier to just say are beliefs are wrong that we put our faith in the wrong race. But do you ever think during these hard times that is when we need our faith and beliefs the most? A very interesting and good read.
