Oh POO! Im sorry that this has turned out like this for u! Dont u just hate when u do all the hard work and someone steps in and takes all the glory! *HUGS*
ReplyDeleteI HATE when that happens. I learned a long time ago doing PTA that I was never going to volunteer again! I am so sorry for your troubles. Do you want me to go over and slap her?

ReplyDeleteOOOH!! I hate when that happens. Been there and it is not fun. You are an incredible person to keep moving forward with it because I would so want to just tell her to just do it then.(ok I am not that mean.) The good news is it will all be over soon..RIGHT??
ReplyDeleteSorry it's going this way. The project should be about cooperation, not competition! It'll be over soon, and next time you'll know.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how it's always the CHURCH people that are so hard to work with? I'm sorry. The last thing you need right now is more stress.
ReplyDeleteI would just leave 'em in the middle of the ocean (the planning) without a lifeboat (you). Sounds like someone is so desperate to have the credit, you should just back out and let them earn it.
ReplyDeleteoh know poser... I hope it all works out.. Hugs..
ReplyDeleteso much competition in this life dear, u will win through xx
ReplyDeleteUG Have you been working with um B that I had to work with last spring? lol I had the exact same thing happen to me! So frustrating. Leave it to karma baby. It will get her in the end.
ReplyDeleteI have something for you on my blog today.. Stop on by.. You are the best poser..

alexis i am sorry to hear this.. Its not easy when people are trying to take your credit.. I have never really planned anything but my 6 year olds b-day party and most the people that showed up were adults..lol.. hope things get better or like every one else said back out and let them sink or swim..
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so stressfull!
ReplyDeleteWhat a time you have had! Makes you wonder why people get so wrapped up in themselves and can't just chill a little. Why don't they just wear a big button that says, "WARNING, I'm not easy to work with, so don't volunteer".
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I hope things get easier for you as the planning goes on.
It's really awful when someone saps the fun AND takes the credit.
ReplyDeleteDon't volunteer again and they will see what they lost.
The people who count know what you are doing and that you are a terrific person. I'm glad you are venting and not letting it stew inside.
ReplyDeleteI know that everyone will have a great time. Just go around this person and do what you want to do. You are a fantastic person and will be rewarded for all your hard work - I just know it!
If that doesn't work, just bitch-slap her! TeeHee
Take a deep deep breath. And remind yourself that it isn't about credit but about other people having fun. And make sure you don't volunteer next year ;)
ReplyDeleteI could do the Christian thing and say it's not about the process, but the end result...that it'll be a great learning experience... it's not about anyone getting credit...
ReplyDeletebut... you know me. I'm a keepin' it real kinda girl.
I read this and I'm seething..
what a bitch. Seriously... people like that irritate the ever lovin' $hit out of me... they ruin it for EVERYONE else...
