The new women’s group I joined at church is having a night out at the movies! At first I said no thank you, the thought of finding a babysitter and plus I have a little hard with new situations (get a little self conscious … I know it’s silly).
The group leader gave me a call said that she is going to offer daycare at the church. So I figured it was a sign to go and I jumped at it. I even invited my Tuesday dinner friend to come along with me.
So I’m going to drop the boys off the thing that worries me is they want us there very early so that means the boys will be there for a long time. Small space + my boys + yet another new babysitter. I’m thinking of taking the portable DVD player with us and some movies. Oh boy Please pray for strength for the babysitter to be a kind one and know that boys are good but several hours in one place may be difficult … ugh.
So I’m excited to see this movie Courageous it is from the creators of Fireproof. I never did see Fireproof but I heard amazing things about it (added it to my Netflix queue). I’m excited to go and here is what we’ll be seeing:
Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood.
While they consistently give their best on the job, good enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they're quickly discovering that their standard is missing the mark.
When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God ... and to their children?
Filled with action-packed police drama, COURAGEOUS is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. Riveted moviegoers will once again find themselves laughing, crying, and cheering as they are challenged and inspired by everyday heroes who long to be the kinds of dads that make a lifelong impact on their children.
Protecting the streets is second nature to these men. Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That's courageous.
So a good night out with the women and hope everything goes well with the new babysitter (we all know that Cole is not good with change … ugh).
Any movie plans this weekend??
