I was invited to a sweet 16 party this past weekend for such a sweet girl. I've known here since she first came into the world (crap I'm getting old) she was even the flower girl at my wedding almost 9 years ago! I wanted to do something special for her. I was looking threw pinterest and saw an idea for a emergency kit for your car on Rips in My Jeans. I took her idea and tweaked it a bit to fit what I was needing (aka I took out the diaper and wipe part since this young lady is NO WHERE near having a child (You hear that girlie?).
I went to Walmart and loaded up!
What you Need:
Bin ($1.99)
Hand Sanitizer
Box of Band Aids
Box of Pain Reliever
Bottle of Lotion
Pack of Tissues
Hair Bands
Bobby Pins
Carmex
Box of Gold Fish
Beef Jerky
Pack of Wet Ones (they get anything out)
2 $5 Bills (pinned to the side for emergency)
I took this great bin (in the college get ready for school section). Arranged the items inside and pinned the 2 $5 Bills to the side. I then went to my Cricut machine to make a cute sign. You could do this by hand but I think it added a little something using my machine layering 2 colors and then added the letters to spell out "New Driver Kit". I even added a few little flowers for my former flower girl! It took me less than 10 minutes to put together but it turned out so cute and it was the perfect size to be put in our car for all those moments when you may just need it.
Happy Tuesday everyone, hope you have a fab day! I hope to make some cookies and fun jello shots for our fourth of July party and post them tomorrow. FINGERS crossed my plan works .. LOL.
What a cute idea!

ReplyDeleteI need a kit for a mother to help me survive the school holidays!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and a very sweet gift!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter turns 16 in 2 weeks. That's a neat idea! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThese are great gifts esp this coming holiday season.
ReplyDeleteI love it. Very unique and practical ideas.
ReplyDeleteNew drivers, not to mention teen drivers should always have this on their back seat or in their trunk. You can also have a pair of gloves to protect your hands while making some minor repair on the road.
ReplyDeleteNice idea.
