Weekend Wrap (Kid Clinic & Caden’s 4th Birthday)
Tuesday Dinner (Pub Classics that won’t bust a gut)
Hi Everyone it’s Tuesday (well Monday when I’m writing this but you know what I mean) I’m still sick as a dog and feel my head spinning so this is a quick post and sorry I haven’t been around to say hi I hope to be by soon as I can see with out my world spinning .
Tuesday is when my High School Friend April comes over with her son and we have dinner just us moms and the kids. I try to find a new meal each time they come over. Her house is under major construction and that means her kitchen is non existent also so a home-cooked meal is a nice treat.
I found a new website Laa Loosh which is a great site for Weight Watcher and low calorie meals, check them out! First I made some Low Calorie Ranch Dressing Recipe (WW 2pts) for dipping!
And now onto the Chicken Fingers (WW 4pts) to go with our Ranch Dipping Sauce. These were yummy but I’m thinking I need to make sure to chop up the bran flakes better.
See Chicken Fingers Recipe with Ranch Dipping Sauce (WW 4pts) on Key Ingredient. Chicken Fingers Recipe with Ranch Dipping Sauce (WW 4pts)

Another great and low calorie way to have your favorite meal.

And what goes best with chicken strips but Chili Fries! Well of course we can’t have the normal, so I did HG's Cheesy Good Chili Fries (WW 7pts) that were delish!

Looking for a fix that won’t make you have to open button your pants to sit!

And I made these for my neighbor who has been so kind and let the boys play with her kids during the day while I’m working and as we know 4 boys who aren’t exactly quiet running around your backyard is not fun! So I whipped up a batch of Oatmeal Banana Bars, YUM .

I made these for the our neighbor for being so sweet and letting the kids play over there while I worked. They smelled so great!

Happy Tuesday everyone I hope to be feeling better soon to stop by .

Manic Monday ~ Comfort Food for this SICK :( Blogger
Sunday AM I woke up and thought I shoved a pillow up my noise and throat! I can’t breath and my throat feels like a cat scratched it and left me it’s fur along the way. Let’s just say I’m not too motivated and moving around that much. I sadly had to cancel a playdate. I would have love to gone just to let the kids play so I could slouch in a car but I couldn’t even make it to the car . UGH
So while I’m sitting her not able to breath or sleep I thought I’d post some comfort food. It’s been rainy and cold here in the PNW so these have been perfect. I know some of you are in a heat wave but Washington is proving to be a rainy state .
First off we have Cream of Chicken Wild Rice Soup, that I loved. Rick not so much (I know as usual), the kids liked it.
See Cream of Chicken Wild Rice Soup (WW 5pts) on Key Ingredient. Cream of Chicken Wild Rice Soup (WW 5pts)

A soup that is filling and perfect for this cold summer we’re having :)

And I made these for dinner, I know they are technically a breakfast but I love doing these little cupcake ideas for dinner. Plus the boys love eggs anytime . Broccoli-and-Bacon Egg Cups were super easy and yummy!

These are perfect for breakfast, but I made them for dinner :). The boys loved them.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you enjoy these recipes. I’ll try to be around Monday night if I’m still breathing.

Caden’s 4th Birthday!
First off check out the super cute Card Diana at Custom Blog Designs did up for me again. As you know she designed my blog & has done the kids cards for the last two years.
I can’t believe my baby will be 4th this Sunday! Ok so the rule on you can only came baby weight until they are 2 has bypassed me … hehe. I guess I need to work on that one too. Along with not calling him my baby, he tells me all the time “I’m not a baby”. We’re going to do his party next weekend, we were going to it on his birthday but Sunday’s are hard for my mom since she has to work to early Monday. So we moved it out a week. I was a little panicked that even though I gave Rick 2 weeks notice they already had his schedule done and his work is NOT the type to let you rearrange your days. Thankfully he is just going to take a personal day for it, which will hurt us pay wise but at least he will be there for the FULL day. All of the kids birthday’s in the past have been him being only to attend the first part and then rushing off.
So we’ll have a lake party at my parents house. They have done some major remodeling down there. Added a slide off the dock, leveled out the grass area created a concrete pad and a gazebo. They also made a retaining wall to make the area level. It was slopped before so when you put a picnic bench on it you would have to kind of balance … lol. So my parents have remodeled again but it was because of something for us … hehe they crack me up they remodeled their house and that was for my wedding and now the waterfront for Caden’s party .
Rick’s mom was so sweet and told me I could pick out a $100 birthday gift for me and $100 birthday gift for Caden. I was going to get me a new sawing machine but instead I decided to forgo my gift and do a combination gift! My MIL was so impressed I would do that she added on a few extra’s to our gift.
So we are now the proud owner’s of an above ground pool! Rick has been working on the back yard to get the dog’s run finished so we can put the pool up. Yup Jake is still into the chewing stage and we don’t want to take a chance!
We got:
Well a swimming pool in my back yard will be fun and since we have a fence I may even get into a suit … lol!

It’s a Watermelon Thang …. (Yup I said Thang!)
The PNW has finally gotten a heat wave … I know I was unhappy with the rain and the kids being inside driving me nuts. But can we have gradual heat … lol. I know I’m picky! Heat means no time to sit down and write a review of the books and movies I normally would do. So I thought why not another recipe … hehe Are you sick of recipes yet? I have them coming out my ears so I must share, You love me and my recipes right? hehe …. Sorry was having an off day Wednesday (I know your reading this Thursday but I write them the night before).
With out further ado some yummy recipes I tried this weekend
First we start out with breakfast, I just had to do these super cute Watermelon Waffles by Random Thoughts of a Supermom.
Watermelon Waffles

Looking for something new to your regular old waffles. These were so cute and perfect for this summer time :).

And then on my mission to make a new popsicle every week this summer I found a recipe that I tweaked and made my own. The original recipe Strawberry and Watermelon Popsicle I turned into blueberry and watermelon, YUMMY .
Blueberry and Watermelon Popsicles

Another fun and easy popsicle to make for the kids or heck yourself :)

Happy Thursday!

It’s a Weekend Wrap (BBQ, Birthday, 4th & lot’s of friends)
We had such a fun packed weekend with little sleep or down time but so much fun!
We had time to hang at my Tuesday Dinner Friend April’s house. The boys were able to run, slip & slide, roast hot dogs & even some s’mores.
I even had a chance to put my feet up. It’s the tour of the feet … lol. In the grass, roasting hotdogs and even making S’mores. Fun times and smelling like a bonfire the next day is the best .
4th of July started out with lot’s of fun . We went to Mud Mountain Damn which we never have gone to. It was fun they have a wading pool and a play center for the kids. My friend picked the perfect spot to have her daughter’s 2nd birthday. Even being in the booney’s it is a great place to visit in the PNW.
Then we hit a 4th of July party at my friend from high school. We had a mini high school reunion you see 5 of us together. A few of them I have seen in 15 years how fun! The kids had so much fun, they were able to go swimming, play whiffle ball (Which Cole rocked at) and even got to light a few fireworks .
Then we ended our 4th of July at my parents house waterfront to enjoy the fireworks. Just my style let everyone else spend thousands of dollars and I’ll sit back and watch . We had a BBQ and mom brought down some hot cocoa for the boys and coffee for me … YUM!
Sunday church had a potato salad cook off. I made this World’s Best Potato Salad (yes that is the name) and it was super yummy. Sadly I did rush it the morning of so it didn’t set up correctly so I didn’t win the cook off which of course peeved me off … lol. Next time I’ll make it the night before (and NOT be lazy … well I was).
Yeah all I can say it’s Wednesday and the feels good but my neighbors are still trying to blow up the neighborhood so I bet I won’t get much sleep this week … UGH. For the love of Pete I work early fireworks after 11p AFTER the 4th of July is annoying. OH Crap I’ve turned into my mother … UGH
