It’s a Wrap on Mother’s Day

One day a year it’s all your day … lol ok well it sounded good.  With Rick not having a full time job, but working a few part time gigs to help out.  One of these jobs of course was on Mother’s Day.  But I did have a great weekend.  Rick was able to get off early and took me and the boys out for dinner which was a real treat that we don’t get to do often.

Rick built the pool my MIL bought us last year (but then Rick went into the hospital).  The neighbor boys of course are wanting to come over I may have to pretend I don’t hear the doorbell … lol.

Cole’s class made cute things for the moms.  They could make a bee or a ladybug.  Cole said he made me a ladybug because I hate bee’s … lol.

We put the boys to work blowing the yard .. lol.

We had a few moments of fun, got to see Bapa’s motorcycle again and we had a picnic in the backyard.

We had a lovely time going up to my parents house to play in the lake and have a BBQ for Mother’s day also.  It was a great time of hanging out and laughing.  I’m so blessed to have my little guys.

Mother’s Day Card–This Flower’s For You!

For Valentine’s day you saw you me make the blow pop cards so I just had to make this “Flower for you” photo card.  It was a very simple card to make but I think it is perfect for my mom.

Supplies:

• Pipe Cleaners
• Tissue Paper
• Razor Blade (Or Scissors)
• Photo Paper
• Computer to print (or Print at local store and pick up)

I edited my photo with a heart and a Happy Mother’s Day.  I printed on my computer on my home printer.  I used a blade to make 2 slits on the hand (that is out stretched).  I cut some tissue paper (using 3 colors to make it pretty) and wrapped the pipe cleaner around like a stem.  Play around and you’ll find the best way to make a flower.  You then put the pipe cleaner threw the cuts to hold it onto the picture.  I think they turned out so cute and it only took me around 5 minutes each.
