Angry Bird Lunch - Pig Style

I've seen all over Pinterest several versions and thought why not give my hand at some Angry Bird lunches for the boys.  I saw several versions and forgive me I just kind of ran with it and used some here and there of the idea's but I didn't write down who had the idea, so forgive me for plagiarizing on the lunch idea.

This was a VERY simple one to do, my pig came out cute.  I did use my brown Wilton Candy writer to make his nostrils and I must have pressed too hard on one side since it is very brown ... oh well life right?

What you Need:

Sandwich (I made PB&J)
Knife
Babybel Cheese
Mozzarella Cheese Slice
Circle Cutter (I used one of my cupcake filler hole maker .. yup its technical terms)
Wilton Candy Eyes
Wilton Candy Writer (brown)

Make Sandwich cut into 1/3, place in lunch box to look like the towers in Angry Bird game.  Unwrap Babybel Cheese, I kind of squished it to make it oval instead of a circle.  I then took my cupcake tool I use to remove the centers to make the nose and did the same thing squished it to be oval instead of round.  I place it in the center with 2 Wilton Candy Eye's on each side.  I took my brown Wilton Candy writer to make nostrils (be careful not to press to hard or it will look too dark like mine).  Put the pig in the middle of the towers! I added some Angry Bird Cheese Nips and Carrots!

Friday Funny!

We don't get out very often but this is so true.  HECK this is true for just getting the kids out the door for school.  Darn kids ... LOL  I hope to maybe even go out this weekend, we'll see.  I'm still so tired I may just get more sleep ... lol.

I'm still recovering from being in Boston and now trying to get my legs back on my routine, so why not post a funny.  I'll be around soon to say hi, sorry I'm missing you all.  I saw this on FB and just had to share a funny.

Quick trip to Boston ... First Time Meeting my Co Worker Family

As many of you know I've been working for an amazing company for close to 7 years.  I'm going on 4 years of working full time at home from them.  I live in Washington and work for a company in Massachusetts.  The time difference allows me to get up early and do their calls and get off early my time to take care of the kids.  The 3 hours really is what keeps my world working as I found out being over there in their time zone.

My bosses are truly amazing people they are those people you only hear about that worked very hard to create a business and went from very little to a very successful life.  They give back to so many and create such a great environment to work.  This was the first time I was able to go and meet them and my co workers in person!  We had a HUGE event of 300+ people last Saturday so all week was busy to make sure it was set up correctly.

I had the amazing opportunity to stay at their house.  I know most people asked me this is the first time your meeting them and you'll be staying at their house?  It's funny but really just a God thing that these people were sent into my life and I feel like they are family.  I know if they or I ever needed anything we would be there for each other.

Let me just say I felt like a princesses!  I had my own room with a view over looking the water and their pool.  I had my own bathroom too!  3 boys and 1 mom share at my house this is a BIG thing.
Before I left this is what I left for Rick ...
LOL our daily schedule for the kids

My packing list:
Yes I mapped out my outfits daily ... lol

My Amazing Room!

My first day I flew in very early in the AM.  I really wanted to sleep on the drive from the Boston Airport to their house in Rhode Island but my VERY kind driver of the town car was a talker ... LOL.  He use to play football for the NY Giants in the 70's.  The drive was beautiful and really was nice.  I got there and got a chance to give my bosses a hug and chit chat a little before to work we went!

My second day I got up early around 6am / 3am my time and made it down around 7am to get some work going.  I MUST say the had the most amazing bed ever I so want that mattress!!  We worked a little while then off to Boston to meet my co workers and do a surprise baby shower for one of our VP's in the office.  We even went to the Apple store to look at a new iPhone for me.  I'm so excited I'm getting a 5S it should be here soon!

Me meeting my Co-Workers for the first time!!

The Baby shower!
I made a Baby Bath Tub Diaper Cake the night before.
Thanks to my boss and her extra hands it came together.
SEE how the girls at one table and boys at the other ... lol

The next 2 days were packed with work getting ready for the HUGE event.  Usually we do events around 80 to 100 people.  This one had 4 guest speakers and turned out to be over 300+ people who showed.  We had two Patriot Cheerleaders, a photographer, a videographer and at the end of the event one of the guest speakers busted out his guitar and sang us a few songs.  Of course me and Teri from the office had to dance and shake our groove thangs!!  I have never laughed so hard in my whole life!

Here are a few shots from the Expo we held:

I worked hard but had the most amazing time being away and just enjoyed time with their family.  They have the best children.  Their oldest daughter just blows me away how focused and determined she is.  She goes to a Catholic school that goes to school 6 days a week!  She was up almost every night to almost midnight studying.  She just blows me away!  Their youngest son kept me laughing every minute!  I truly miss them and the time I had there.  It was very sad to leave and I hope to visit again soon.

Phineas and Ferb Lunch - Agent P

We end this week of lunch boxes featuring Phineas and Ferb character's is Agent P.  I found an easy way to make Agent P here.

What you Need:
Bread
Knife
White Cheese
Yellow Cheese
Brown Food Writer (I used Wilton Candy Writers)

This is a simple one since you keep the shape of the bread, I but off the top and sides to keep it square.  For the mouth I did that by hand.  I made the bottom lip to be like a half circle and the nose and top lip I made it look almost like a T with rounded edges.  You could print out his face and use a template but I figured I could do it by hand.  The eyes I used a circle cutter and cut it in half.  I used my Wilton candy pen in brown to make a line and then circles in the middle to look like eyes.  Add some fruit, veggies and an egg :).

Phineas and Ferb Lunch - Ferb

On my Phineas and Ferb lunch boxes, yesterday you saw my Phineas and today I will show you my Ferb.  He actually was my favorite!  Thanks to some wax paper used as tracing paper he came out pretty darn cute if I must say so!

What you Need:
Wax Paper (like tracing paper)
Printer to print his head
Flour Tortilla
Spinach Tortilla (for his Hair) or use regular tortilla and color green
White Cheese
Circle cookie cutter
Black Gel Frosting

First I googled Ferb, copied the one I wanted and saved to a word file.  I made him the size of my opening in my food container.  I then cut out his hair so I could do his hair from the spinach tortilla.  For the head (minus the hair I cut off) I used a whole wheat tortilla.  I folded up some meat and cheese to put in between the two tortilla's.  I then took my circle cookie cutter to cut out the eyes from some white cheese.  I used black gel frosting for the eyes.  I place the green hair on top of the head to pull it all together.   Served with some grapes, mini rice cakes and a few Cheetos.

Phineas and Ferb Lunch - Phineas

My boys love Phineas and Ferb so I thought I'd give my hand at making the main characters for their lunches!  We will start with my Phineas.

What you Need:
Triangle Cutter
Bread
Carrots
Egg
Olive
Fixings

I found a triangle sandwich cutter the I used for his head.  I made a small triangle cut for his mouth.  For his eye I cut the circle from an egg and then a little bit of black olive for the eye. I was going to use a little black frosting gel but we had olives the night before and had a few left over :).  For the hair I cut some carrots strips.  I added some cheese and meat.  Cole loves hard boiled eggs so I cut one up for him and some grapes.
