WWW ~ Hair, Birthday Party & Super Bowl

It was a pretty low key weekend but I did get in a few fun things :)
Ok bad angels, got the double chin look going on
Got my hair done & then a hair cut!
Saturday after I got done working the boys and I hit Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party. The boys had so much fun, mom was about to pull her hair out. That place was NUTS, over crowded and made me think over and over what is wrong with these kids and adults. They have no manners, my mom would have slapped me upside the head if I acted like some of those kids.
Sunday was the church for the AM service, home to do some baking (you'll have to check out my gumball cupcakes on my Saturday post). Then up to my girlfriend from elementary school for a Super Bowl party. It was fun to just hang out with friends and let the kids run. I actually didn't have to go check on them every 15 min. My friends mom did that ... lol, we'll let her be the worry wart :).
Yup it was a fun but busy weekend! Hope you're all having a wonderful week!

Battle of the Rigatoni (2 Recipes)

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's the battle of the rigatoni :), you know me and having to have a new meal at least 4 times a week so it's sometimes challenging to find new things we have some of the same elements but a different meal each time. These both were fabulous and pretty simple.

Manic Monday Meals ~ Meatloaf + Round 2 Recipe Pizza Pasta

Can you believe it's Monday already? I really think the weekend skipped a few hours on me ... hehe :). Since's it's Monday and we're always in a hurry I thought I'd share a meatloaf I did last week and then used the left overs for a "round 2 recipe". I also did a search to find a way to put a recipe card on my post. I've been trying for sometime put I don't have a way to turn a pdf in a jpg so I've been at a lost. Until today I found this amazing lady who posted and helped me: Stephanie @ Stop the Ride.

The second I used my left over meatloaf for the meat in this recipe. I've actually found that using meatloaf leftovers is a great way to flavor and not to throw away anything.

Just one of those days!

Yesterday at work I was just done, I don't know what happen to me but I was pooped I had it on my mission to work out. But for some reason I couldn't get my rear (literally) in gear. Rick had a early night from work and called and offered to pick up dinner, I was so in a bummer mood I couldn't even get excited that he offered. I won't mention that it was fast food but I at least could veg for a little while and even went to bed early :).

The only cooking I did was for the dog. I found that last time in my hast I put the biscuits in the container too quickly and the moist caused mold ... ugh! Yup had to throw them all out, so I had to make more. I found yet another recipe to try out! And I let them sit out all night to make sure they were dried out and ok to store.
by Dog Paw Print

1 cup (250 ml) dry oats
2 cups (500 ml) whole wheat flour
1 cup (250 ml) all natural peanut butter
1 cup (250 ml) water
¼ cup (60 ml) canola oil
1 egg, beaten (or Egg Beaters, equiv. to 1 egg)

Preheat oven to 350° (180°). Mix all of the ingredients together in a fairly large bowl. Sprinkle a bit of flour over a flat, clean surface, and roll the mixture out over the flour to about ¾" (2 mm) thickness. Use dog-themed cookie cutters or simply cut into rectangles and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Cook first for 20 minutes on one side and then flip the treats over and cook an additional 20 minutes. Remove to cooling racks and let dry out thoroughly. Dog biscuits are ready after about two hours.

Weekend Wrap ~ It was suppse to be down time!

This weekend was one of no parties so it will be down time right? LOL well if I sit on the couch then I feel like I'm not being a good mom etc. So it was time to do some cleaning and a few other fun things!
My headset died as you know.
Rick tried to fix it, sadly it is dead :(.
I use it 6 days a week for work so $60 for a year I guess isn't bad.
Cole's school had bowling last week!
What a fun way to teach kids Math & part of their PE unit.
Saturday was the day of cleaning!!!
Well that is between job in the AM and job in the PM
No before pictures, yes I'm a little embarrassed of it!
I didn't think this would take all day! UGH

Sunday was church
Then playdate at the boys cousins house
It was so nice to sit and talk with an adult.
Only had to stand up like 10 times to see why Caden was crying.
It's rough being the smallest kid :)

Then we have Rick's Birthday!
Rick attended SDSU so he loves SD Chargers
Can you believe that Skin was $35!!
Loves Emergency so I found Season 6 on DVD
And loves old school A Team so we'll try for the new DVD
(you know my thoughts on remakes)
So there you have it some of the weekend and the week all wrapped up into one :).
