Just two more minutes ...

Went into wake Cole up for the day, he rolled over and held 2 fingers up to me. Momma just give me two more minutes and then I'll get up. He promptly rolled back over and went back to sleep. He then woke up a few minutes later called to me "Momma I need some juice, you put it on the table and I'll wait here in bed until you have it for me, Ok?". Yup I'm officially Alice, minus 3 kids!

Today was totally crazy at work, doing lot's of reports, working on the partners bills and yet another prosal set my way. My amazing Friend Rachael's Space brought me a VERY yummy Latte! Can you say AWESOME needed Caffeine! Rachael is my co-workers wife that is now one of BFF's :) (Yup I know so High School, deal with it). The funny thing is her hubby and I use to work together a lot on small projects, he's moved on and yup I'm still the helper for another co-worker. The funny thing is he used to joke around that I was his Office-Wife, my radio show did a whole program about this about how in some cases it can be bad. Most of those hubby's had lunch and hung out a lot with their Office-Wife, in our case we just chit chat a lot. Rachaels' hubby is big into some of the same reality shows I watch, which is AWESOME since Rick hates them and I SO need someone to talk to about them ... LOL. But a cool thing is I met his wife and now were friends. She also made the CUTEST bear that I bought for Caden, it's a Sweetpea design which is what my dad use to call me and the theme we did for Caden's babyshower! She makes the most amazing bears, you'll have to check out Rachael's Amazing Bears they are all baby/toddler safe with no eyes (but I'm sure if you ask she'd put some on if you wanted). She did a gorgeous one for this lady with a shirt from her father who passed away check it Special Bear (Just in case any of you have something that you want made into a bear), she puts a lot of love and care into them and sells them for $20 (I know what an amazing deal). I'm going to try to get something of my great grandmothers to have made into a bear for my mom. Mom and her where VERY close and when she passed a few months ago I know it really effected mom, but she lived 99 years which is just amazing, enough to have Great Great Grandchildren pretty cool.

Moments you write down to remember

I've been so wrapped up in my drama that I forgot to post that Cole is now back to school/daycare full time! We're on day 2 of good reports, Knock on wood they keep coming! So update on my car I'm almost finished filling out the stupid collision report, which mind you is silly if it was a hit and run and you have NO CLUE who the other person was. My agent told me it's just a formality to get the reduced deductible. Yup the things we do to save money! Next step is to get it to the repair shop to get a estimate. Hopefully pretty quickly since when I got into the car this morning running late since Cole was unwilling to get going. I sat down in and had a refreshing feeling, a feeling of a WET butt! Oh yeah since it was running down the door my left leg was wet too! Not just a little wet but super SOAKED so when I got to work was walking around like I was Caden with a wet diaper! Welcome to my day that just kept going down from there.

All I wanted to do was get home but then of course I needed milk and banana's staple of my household! Which then left us getting home around 6:30ish, unpack the bags, get dinner started and hey why not put together pot roast for tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow we'll have dinner before 7:30pm. Ugh one day I think things will fall into place, at least tomorrow Leah comes to clean. Yippee as soon as she's done in the bathroom I'm going to run in there lock the door and sit on my clean toilet. Since it will only be clean for those brief few minutes of pure blissful joyful nirvana. Then I will slip back down to earth only because 1st child will be banging on the door to you know go pee and the 2nd child would be crying like no tomorrow. Back to reality, it's those little Calgone Moments that I need to Cherish. That and this moment:

Last Thursday I had this brilliant idea to make cupcakes to say thank you to the host parents that had been taking Roy to school for me. The thing is like it always is I have a million things to do and before I know it it's past 10pm and I really should get some sleep. So it's a mix for the cupcakes this time, sorry. After I pulled them out of the oven I was so tired and didn't have enough tooth picks to keep my eyes open to wait for them to cool. So I get up early to frost these brilliant ideas and ran into the kitchen to find this. Yup my oh so amazing husband frosted them for me. Yup a moment to write down in history, sometimes he can be a turd and really make me want to really runaway. Then days like last Friday make me run back into the room and kiss him on the head, who promptly brushes me away with a grumpy go away ... well that was short lived! I've been meaning to post this moment so the next time I'm pulling my hair out I can come back and read this and do my count to 10 and then maybe recount to 10!

Oh geez I really need to watch my sayings ...

Today Cole has said two of my favorite sayings plus one just plain funny one! Cole's PreK class had a field trip today to Chevy's Restaurant. Yup I thought the same thing, but hey whatever gets them out and learning new things is great by me. So Rick got to go on his first field trip today, not because this is his favorite restaurant ... well maybe just a little bit the reason. They showed the kids how they made homemade tortillas (which you can get fresh and hot ones for free just like the chips and they come with a yummy jalapeno pepper jelly). Can you tell that is my favorite thing there? Ok it's the only thing I like but since it's Rick's favorite I suffer thru with carbs! An Atkins diet nightmare that is me!

On the way home Rick to Cole and his locker buddy back to the school. The kids got crayons, Cole some how had 5 and the little boy had 3, which wasn't going over well. So Cole turns to the boy and gives him all his crayons. Then turns to Rick and says "Daddy he can have my crayons, he's driving me crazy" (oh yeah all me) and to end with one of my favorites "I can't deal with this anymore". Oh geez this is the part that I slap my head and groan!

On to more pleasant news I spent forever on the phone with my claims trying to figure out where a form on the WA state patrol is to do a collision report. After several attempts the lady pretty much told me to figure it out and oh yeah why don't I send an email to WA state tech support for help! HELLO WTF do I pay $2500 (two vehicles) a year for? You take my money every month, and have been doing so for the last 9 years! I haven't been (knock on wood) getting into trouble but now when some idiot hits my car I'm left with a crank operator who doesn't have the time to help me. I was fuming and called my agent who personally walked me thru to get to the form, yup that is why I stay with him all these years. So I'm on the road to getting my car fixed. Which is perfect timing since the wind noise is driving me crazy (see here I go again with that) and oh yeah now that it is raining profusely and thank you weather man will continue for the rest of the week I'm not getting wet. Oh glorious days!

My night ended with a little shopping and Cole standing up and announcing "My Butt works", yup needing the laughs keep them coming. Since I needed a little comic relief from my life I'm sharing this picture that made me laugh!

I should have known the day would turn out like this ...

Today started out as an early one with the time change the TV program I take order for came on an hour late which screwed us all up and we ended up working until 2:30 or technically 1:30am since the clocked moved back an hour. Oh joy was I really looking forward to that the night before? So my body really is thinking it's 2:30 and of course I can't sleep, I think I finally feel asleep around 3:30 (ok 2:30, oh I really hate this time change). And why not add the boys waking up at get this 6:30 (real time) so yes you added that right I had a total of 4 hours of sleep. Do you think everyone would take a nap later and I could sleep, nope by that time I'm so dead to world I can't even fall asleep. I was about to get up and ready to meet our play date when she called to say they needed to reschedule, which was totally cool a little down time is great.

Well the down time sounded great in theory until you get 3 ramped up kids running around your house and you look out the window and it's pouring! Oh crap plan B or am I on E already? Call Auntie Tarra to see if we can come visit and watch the new movie that should be in my mailbox. We stop by the mailbox to find out it's not here, great this day really sucks. We headed up to Tarra's to watch what movies she had and just relax.

The kids ran around crazy as usual Tarra and I are use to this and just went about our day. Khari's dad was not so use to this and the he did she did that comes along with 3 and 4 year olds. Tarra and I were talking about parenting and I was thinking wouldn't that make a good blog about parenting styles. It's funny as a parent we always want to side with our kid and step in and be the savior, not thinking maybe they ran into that wall or maybe that other little kid did hit them. It's almost wear you have to see it to make a judgement call and other times you just need to console them and let them know you love them and go back to play. It's great to sit back and be an observer of how one parent handles and the other one does, you can make judgements and think oh I would never do that. But in truth you have no clue unless you are that parent at that moment in time. So this was going to be a funny blog about parenting styles and the do's and dont's that we teach. I had it all planned out in my head!

Then I went out to my car to find someone had hit my drivers side door. Yup that was my same thought (maybe with a few more bad words). Ok bright side hit and runs are a cheaper deduct able for me, and since it's drivable I can drive it and then let the body shop have it for one day so I'm not out a week of my 20% deductible for rental cars. Ok that is all the positive I can give you at this point because I now have a VERY cranky husband who thankfully isn't taking it out on me (maybe it was when I reminded him he had 3 accidents in the last few years). And while I was driving home all I could hear was the wind since now my door doesn't line up and if I really wanted to I could stick my finger out the top. Ok I'm ending now, I think mentally I'm ok I was going to cry at first but really what is that going to do for me. More later, I'm sure I'll have some lovely insurance story to tell later this week.

Caden the poser, isn't he stylin'?

Yet another dull day ...

Yesterday started at 5am thankfully the calls were on the light side since my side kick IM'd me to say she would be out sick today. The kids started waking up around 9am which usually is ok. Today is another story, Rick didn't get home until 6:30 am from the rave he work and since I was by lonesome answering calls I didn't finish up until after 9:30. Yup just a lovely morning then add in VERY rude people who mind you called into a radio program and I'm just calling back to update their info and offer an appointment. Most times their are a little gruff since they are from East Coast I totally get it my Aunt lives in New Jersey, she is totally the same way so I get that but these people were just plain rude. I even had one lady hang up on me after yelling at me that he husband would never call. She did call back later and scheduled a point and apologized profusely to the gal (that being me) that called, so hey that's something. Plus a VERY sweet older lady who invited me for tea, I told her I would love to if I lived closer like even the same state ;). The nice ones are hard to come by so I hang onto those. So in a nutshell welcome to my morning.

This afternoon I was laid back just catching up trying to clear up my busting at the seams DVR. My relaxing day was oh so relaxing minus my newly teenager, oh wait I don't have a teenager but I do have a 10 year old who believes he's a teenager. Let's start with the newest gift pack that showed up that included a mp3 player hey it did include ear phones but you know using those would hurt the quality of the music. So let's plug it into our laptop and blast the music where you can hear it over a the TV that is turned up. Then add in the drums, by this time my head is about to explode so hey let's go to the Library and Wal-Mart (we even dressed up). Oh the joys of headphones with the mp3 player, because we're cool like that and have to walk around with them on and oh yeah have them playing while we're in the car! You so want my life don't you, want to trade? I'll give it to you cheap ... LOL just playing. Since I was so not in the mood so walking around Wal-Mart was a great way to spend the day I know every kids dream! We did buy Journey to the Center of the Earth with the 3D glasses so I'm totally stoked to watch it. My plan was to eat dinner yummy tatter tot casserole and then watch it as a family. Poor Rick was so tired he went to bed with out dinner and didn't wake up until this morning. Which made a certain 10 year old not so happy since 1 he wanted to watch the move and 2 he wanted to watch it only with Rick. Yup me being the mom who does everything doesn't count for much but my dear hubby who works two jobs and is barely here yup he's the one that is beloved! Got to love that thinking! Oh well as long as my boys know who really runs this place it's all good. I'm sorry not a lot of humor today, just a pretty boring day! Maybe today will bring better stories, for some reason I doubt it :).

Freight Night ...Ok maybe PG but still Fun

What an amazing day we had. Yesterday was one packed day, I got off a little early picked the boys up and took them to my work to show them off in their costumes. Scooby and Scrappy were a huge hit! After we ran and picked Roy up from his field trip at Tiffany's Skating Rink, he's teacher was super nice and let me pick him up there instead of go back to Tacoma. Then we headed up the hill to my parents house to hang out before we head out trick-or-treating.

We had a nice relaxing time, we watch Iron Man again, played cars and had a yummy dinner of cheddar broccoli with ham soup. Mom wasn't feeling up to par but got her second wind put her pumpkin trash bag on and was ready to go. The kids had a lot of fun walking around down town Sumner, were all the shop owner dress up and pass out candy and even a yummy Chai Tea for the parents. Yup I think Scooby and Scrappy were the best costumes EVER, hey I'm not the only one we got stopped so many times along with asked where I bought them. Poor mom's tights kept sliding down so the whole time around she had to keep one hand on her tights and one hand on Caden, it was the funnest thing I've ever seen (probably why she was holding Caden because I was laughing too hard). Khari and her daddy were running late so by the time we had gone around once and mom was fed up with her tights they showed up. One more time around won't hurt, hey don't shake your head at me I didn't let the kids get a second round of candy.

Since the kids were crying why not go around the neighborhoods and collect even more candy that will taunt me and call my name every night. Oh yeah just what I need more chocolate, oh geez here it is calling my name again! Ok I'm back it was just a small piece (just joking, ok stop). The people in Sumner are so nice since they get hit with tons of kids, 2 house especially were very cool. One house had a tunnel made on the side of there house with screaming kids, air blowing and fog ... did I mention it was black tarps and pitch black inside? Yup Khari and her daddy went so Roy and Cole went along. 2 minutes later I hear "MOMMY" and here comes my kid running scared out the entrance. Poor kid didn't see me at first and was screaming and running all over this person front lawn. After a few minutes Cole decides that he wants to go in it with me and Auntie Tarra. I ask the owner is it stroller safe and we fourbied thru it. A kid jumped out and screamed over and over and of course scared Cole again who this time was between Me and Tarra. Little Caden did just fine until the end which mind you ended in their garage that was all decorated and had snacks!! That's when Caden started to scream, maybe one of the snacks was traumatic to him? The second house every year has something creepy with a guy jumping out at you. This year they decorated a car all creepy and had him sitting in the passenger seat it was great. If your ever in Sumner for Halloween it's a must to see these two house.

By this time we're getting cold and it's time to head to Tarra's house. Tarra's mom made a nice dinner for the kids and something yummy for the adults too. Then it was movie time, we watched Journey to the center of the Earth. It was pretty good, I'm going to go buy it so we can watch it in 3D! I was tired that I convinced myself that it was daylight savings Saturday so I could get an extra hour, yup no matter how hard you try to tell yourself this it doesn't make it true. Thankfully the other side of my brain had the idea to check the Internet. Oh well I guess less then 6 hours isn't too bad for sleep.

So that was our Halloween pretty cool huh? Check out some pictures:

Here is Bapa, Scrappy, Pumpkin lady, Scooby and Harry Potter!
