Now onto what you all tune in for ... LOL
Girls I had the craziest thing happen to me yesterday! Well I got up the usual 5am to work the call center, monsters up at 7am and of course hubby needs his beauty sleep and can't keep them occupied so he brings them out to the living room, which mind you adjacent to the dinning room where my little work station is. Thankfully they were rather quiet and I didn't have to apologize to people for the noise. Most days people ask me if I have a dog, sure! One day a gal actually asked me what type, I was dumbfounded! I don't' have a dog it's just easier to say that then no it's my kids. With a huge pause I said cocker, the type I had as a child, then she's like what it's name, you got to be kidding me. Used my dog from childhoods name, ok do you mind if we get off the my "dog" is acting up! Jeez, so back to my story it was a rather quiet day. I got finished up around 9ish and started some yummy french toast for the boys.
Mom called and asked if I wanted to meet at Ross to pick up some new things for the house! Sure no problem, then she asked the question can you come alone? Funny my mind never went there! What going out with out the children is that an ok thing? I don't think I've done that in at least 6 months? I go in and tell Rick who actually doesn't have a complete cow that I may be gone for a few hours leaving him with the boys. Now most of you are shaking your head saying hello it's just as much his responsibility as mine! Now I know this, for some reason my lovely husband hasn't learned this much! So I got dressed told Caden to go find his dad and snuck out the door. I actually got to drive 15 minutes by myself with out having to scream stop touch him, or can you sing softer and my all time favorite do you really have to annoy each other???
I got to Ross mom had a yummy Chai Tea for me and I actually browsed, didn't have to raise my voice once, didn't have to run after a child or my favorite no hairy eyeballs from crazy people who thinks all kids need to be seen not heard! Yes it was the BEST 2 1/2 hours that I have had probably since being a mom, well not really but come on girls I don't get out much. The last time I went on a date with DH has been close to a year and half. I of course had to go to work to finish up yet another proposal that will be due on the day that I'm no longer there since they cut my hours. 2 weekends in a row I have had to come in to get proposals out the door, make sense to anyone else? I know can I please have my 40 hours back? Whatever yet another trip and more gas out the door and less hours to boot! My life what can I say! So from 11am to 3pm yes I know 4 WHOLE hours I was able to leave the house with one kid! All is right in the world right? LOL well at least for half a day!
The boys and I even got to go visit my girlfriend Anngie and her daughter that night. And guess what my son the little thief he is (just playing) got to come home with a cool tool bench and all the tools and yes domino's too because he had to have those too! LOL It was an amazing day, and I'm so refreshed ... yup ready to go another 6 months! ha-ha

ReplyDeleteMy weekend has been one tired mixed with lazy feeling, now I am full from cooking and experimenting with foods all afternoon!
I like his tool set! Aaron would have wanted that if they had one, but he got a pedal race car his aunt won when he was his age...not sure what happened to that thing, by the time his legs reached, I was worn out from pushing him in it all the time! lol
Wow girls you rock at how quick you are at replying! I'm so excited to send out little gifts to you all. Even you E, you know I would never leave you out! You'll have to email over all your addresses so I can get stuff in the mail ;).
ReplyDeleteE you crack me up, I can just see you pushing away. That should be my next gift for Cole that or a bike. I could at least get in my exercise if I have to push him around ... LOL.
