As you all know I love a good Audio book, they are just so easy to put into your CD player and go. Now The Castaways is not really you would want to listen to with little ones around but a good one to pop into a cd for just you!

The Castaways took my breath away with all the twist and turns. It starts out with tragedy as a Couple Greg and Tess drown on an anniversary sailing trip. They leave behind twins and 6 of their best friends that go thru all the stages of mourning. During this mourning you learn more about the characters and how so of them were intertwined in their relationships. It seems each character is linked some how to a different one that is not their spouse.

You'll enjoy the journey this book takes you on, the characters are well written and you actually fall in love with them with all their mistakes and misguided turns in their life also. You will cheer for them when they come out of their mourning and move to new paths that lead to a new future one they did not see before this sad summer accident rocked their worlds. This book takes place on Nantucket where you can imagine yourself on the beach and life of this small island.
