Have you ever read a book that made you think what the heck would I do in that situation. This book did just that to me between thinking about my family and what one would do to keep them all safe!

Ravens starts off with the Boatwrights hitting the jackpot of $318 MILLION dollars! As most stories the lotto does not bring them happiness, but this is not a story of people spendy wild and loosing it all. This is a story of fear and what you will do to keep your family and friends safe.

The start of the Boatwrights horror story is when Shaw McBride happens to stop into a convenient store to fill up his tires. While in the store he hears of the jackpot being won and then gossip of who won. From their he starts on a made frenzy of fact finding about the family. What is scary and also a lesson to all is he finds most of the info on the daughter social network page! From their he devises a plan to take half the money! He uses his charm and fear of his friend Romeo Zderko who is told to go on a kill spree if the family does not play along!

The longer Shaw stays in their house the weirder things get, minds start playing terrible tricks on them all. For the love of their family and friends they play along. With the help from a VERY unlikely person does anything change. You fall in love with the kids and the fast talking grandmother, you come to pray for their safety and the others around them.

At times this book was a little slow but you'll be so intrigued to figure out how it ends that you'll listen to the whole thing! Not one to listen to in the car with the kids due to graphic words and the nature but it is one you being waiting to see what happens next!

One thing that really stood out to me was this book was read by Robert Petkoff andMaggi-Meg Reed, they did a great job taking on the different roles. I love to hear a female doing the female and the male playing the male roles it just makes it easier to become part of the book!
